Juniors 2 - 3 FJR

27 people stood around Herăstrău today, chatting about the horrible weather. For strong, physical players the heavy rain was easy to overcome, it was even an advantage given their style of play. Others, such as the quick or technical ones, made bleaker appearances. The picks for today were: Grofcsik - Szieben, Neamţ - Bonţu, Rucz, Nagy, Mehedinţi - Borcea, Chelaru, Iliuţă.

The coach fielded the following talents: Bezhani - Panajotov, Bubakjovski, Lukovski, Trpevski - Risteski, Bozinov, Lera, Çiftja - Koca, Borsov.

Colentina Juniors fielded a 2-4-3 lineup. For FEIT JR, the formation of choice was 4-4-2. Juniors demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. László Grofcsik was beaming with pride after 11 minutes, as he dived full length and stopped a shot by the visitors' Rade Risteski. Juniors almost put themselves up after 14 minutes as Bertalan Nagy got through, but he lost focus and shot the ball wide. Juniors did not seem very confident about what to do on the pitch, the organisation level having broken down to weak. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. FJR didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 64 percent of the possession.

The boys of Juniors were eager to get some feedback from their coach. His tactical review helped raise the team organisation to solid. FJR took the lead 48 minutes into the game, scoring to make the score 0 - 1. Jelan Çiftja intercepted a sloppy pass in central midfield, stepped past his marker and fired a cute shot into the bottom corner. With 58 minutes of the match gone, Juniors's Mircea Chelaru showed off his natural speed. Leaving his defender behind, he had time to perfectly time his pass to Cosmin Bonţu, who nudged it past the keeper. The referee scribbles down 1 - 1 in his notebook. FJR nearly took the initiative in the game at this point, but László Grofcsik anticipated Klejdi Lera's half-volley well enough to tip it away. The referee noted down 1 - 2 as the new score after 67 minutes. FJR's Tashko Borsov had cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal. After 68 minutes, Mircea Chelaru dashed through the middle past the away team's defenders to score the 2 - 2 goal. Lacking experience with the current tactics, the players of Juniors kept running into each other on the pitch. They only managed a passable level of organisation. After 82 minutes, FJR pulled ahead, making the score 2 - 3, courtesy of Selman Koca. The teenager had anticipated a cross from the left and unleashed a cannonball of a shot which nestled in the far corner of the goal. Did someone forget the pre-match briefing today? The Juniors lads didn't seem to have a clue what to do, and their organisation level dropped to passable. The coach of Juniors was embarrassed to see his players fail the tactical setup. Many played out of position and the organisation level of the team dropped to inadequate. The match ends with a 2 - 3 score. In this half FJR were the most energetic, keeping the ball to themselves for 64 percent of the time.

Călin Iliuţă performed especially well for Juniors - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. Károly Rucz needs a lot of extra training, however. FJR's Rade Risteski had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! The coach took Morin Bezhani aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying.
