Bejbunar 3 - 3 J-s

It had been a rainy day, and no more than 190 were scattered around Pomoshen teren na FK Bebjunar Ohrid to see the game. The pitch was a disaster, due to all the rain. This spelled problems for the more sophisticated players, who usually could rely on speed or technique. For those relying on grit and strength, it actually meant an edge. The coach fielded the following talents: Tanevski - Galevski, Jankulovski, Krsteski, Ilovski - Dhimitri, Mihajlov, Efremovski - Madzarov, Manojlovski, Bresliev.

The boys who got to play today were: Banchini - Ghiringhelli, Congedi - Scudiero, Crosta, Padula, Ercolini - Bonivento, Breda, Nicosia.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 4-3-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 2-4-3. Bejbunar decided to play creatively. J-s showed off their creative tactics. J-s's 0 - 1 goal came on a questionable penalty, but Giampiero Ghiringhelli struck that one home without remorse. After several successful passes in a row on the right flank, Bejbunar got the ball through to Boris Madzarov. He easily knocked it in for the equaliser, 1 - 1, in the 16 minute. After 24 minutes J-s's Aldo Nicosia was out wide on the left, where he found himself unchallenged and able to receive a fine through pass. The keeper came towards him, but not quick enough to cut the attacker off completely. 1 - 2 for the visitors. Loro Dhimitri rushed from deep after 26 minutes of the game had gone. He received a perfectly timed pass in the area, but at the last moment, one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in and warded it off for a corner. 1 - 2 was the score after 45 minutes. This half the J-s boys hung on to the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

After 47 minutes, Jakov Bresliev dashed through the middle past the away team's defenders to score the 2 - 2 goal. J-s appeared uncertain how to play and their organisation was only weak. Bejbunar grabbed the initiative after 70 minutes, as Kosta Manojlovski cut in from the right and, with some luck, shoved the ball in for 3 - 2. The home side were disappointed by the penalty given to J-s with 73 minutes gone. Giampiero Ghiringhelli calmly took the shot and scored, tying the game at 3 - 3. J-s's Aldo Nicosia came in from the right in the 78th minute, chasing a through ball, but the ball was too far away from his body and Valentin Tanevski managed to snap it up. Lacking experience with the current tactics, the players of J-s kept running into each other on the pitch. They only managed a weak level of organisation. After 79 minutes Kosta Manojlovski almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. The match ends 3 - 3. J-s didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 51 percent of the possession.

The coach of Bejbunar was especially pleased with Dobromir Galevski after the game. Valentin Tanevski showed he still has a lot to learn. The spectators agreed that the most impressive boy in J-s today had been Aldo Nicosia. Sergio Scudiero left the field with tears in his eyes, knowing he had been the worst player on his team.
