LVLAYT 0 - 7 JnrSnp

The match almost did not happen, as one of the teams did not arrive in time for kick off. A field hockey team practising in the vicinity agreed to step up and play instead. The grateful LVLAYT coach invited them all to orange soda and cinnamon buns afterwards. Around 163 brave souls made it to the wet and mud of Kisela Voda Arena to see the game. Some joker suggested a snorkel and flippers might be more appropriate, given the conditions. The rain was pouring down, it was the kind of weather favoured by strong players who stick to simple football. For players possessing of speed or technical skills, the day really was as grim as for everyone else. The lucky starting players: Lijakovski - Tufa - Trenevski, Ramadani, Kofilovski, Ubeyd, Kamcevski - Sakaliev, Levkov.

The picks for today were: Nastevski - Nacev, Spasovski, Gorgievik, Balluku - Todorov, Kocevski, Ikonomov, Bozo - Trako, Nedelkoski.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team LVLA Youth Team went for 1-5-2 while JuniorSinop has decided to play a 4-4-2 lineup. LVLAYT were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. JnrSnp's Zvonimir Kocevski put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right 3 minutes into the game. LVLAYT appeared uncertain how to play and their organisation was only weak. JnrSnp's Zvonimir Kocevski received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 10 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 2 goal. The loyal few along the sidelines were not pleased with that one. A drive on the left side created space for JnrSnp's Zlatko Gorgievik, who easily put the cross away after 13 minutes for 0 - 3. After 18 minutes, JnrSnp sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Sotir Nacev, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot and score the 0 - 4 goal. The referee confirmed the score as 0 - 4 when he signalled for the halftime break. This half the JnrSnp boys hung on to the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

After handing out some oranges, LVLAYT's coach repeated his tactical instructions to the team. The boys finally got it, and were back at solid organisation when the whistle blew again. Usian Trako could have made a name for himself when he, after 47 minutes, almost extended the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball looped into the middle, but the home side's keeper Najden Lijakovski collected it. After 52 minutes, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as Dojchin Nedelkoski deflected a misplaced long shot from the left into the goal. Did that come off his backside? The JnrSnp free kick 60 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But there was an idea to it - the misdirected ball was turned into a cross towards Orde Spasovski, who was waiting for it in the box. That's 0 - 6! Don't forget to thank the assistant coach for that gem of a routine! Lacking experience with the current tactics, the players of LVLAYT kept running into each other on the pitch. They only managed a poor level of organisation. The home players' parents couldn't believe their eyes as Nedelko Todorov came in from the right, shooting hard to score 76 minutes into the game. JnrSnp were now up 0 - 7. The match ends 0 - 7. JnrSnp didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 60 percent of the possession.

Bozhin Trenevski performed especially well for LVLAYT - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. On the other hand, Najden Lijakovski's performance hadn't been very good at all. The JnrSnp players gave Bekim Bozo a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Milan Nastevski needs a lot of extra training, however.
