The weather was pretty good at the stadium today for the match. The following players had been chosen: Borgtun - Bjarmann, Rasmussen, Aune, Casadó, Gudvangen - Wijdenbosch, Sapena, Feldman, Langus, Raaska -.

The following players took the field: Feest - Löfqvist, Cierpka, Alasay, Johansson - Fjelwald, Engström, Jacobsson - Engström.

Hold Fast. entered the field in a 5-5-0 formation. The visitors, Beppolinos AS, chose to start the game with a 4-3-1 lineup. Hold Fast preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance, taking advantage of their utopian level with that tactic. Some beautiful play by Hold Fast set up Jude Feldman in a good shooting position after 7 minutes, but Carl Feest made a great save on the low hard shot. Beppolinos's Gürkan Alasay was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 18 minutes. 23 minutes into the game, Beppolinos seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a poor level of organisation. August Langus couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted Hans Jacobsson as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for Beppolinos - 0 - 1! 36 minutes in, the unpredictable Johan Engström of Beppolinos turned and curled the ball towards goal, but it flew inches wide of the post, almost taking out a member of the crowd! Hold Fast focused on finding shooting opportunities from distance and after 38 minutes Henri Raaska fired off the big cannon, but the shot went sailing over the cross bar and into the car park. Hold Fast's slick passing moves completely confused the defence after 41 minutes, but thanks to Carl Feest's miraculous save from Stein Gudvangen's long shot the score remained unchanged. With 42 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Beppolinos resulted in a counterattack that set Hans Jacobsson free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Hold Fast's Jude Feldman came in from the right after 44 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Hold Fast had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Beppolinos had passable organisation. Hold Fast created a good opportunity to score 75 minutes into the match when Pedro Javier Sapena's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. After 76 minutes, Beppolinos were awarded a free kick as their counter attack broke down. The set piece was lifted over the top, intended to open up the defence. However, the target man seemed to be taken by surprise, and could not reach the ball before it crossed the line for a goal kick. 78 minutes into the game, Beppolinos had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. 79 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Hold Fast to take the lead after a good cross from the right found Henri Raaska alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. Under heavy pressure after 80 minutes, the inexperienced Hold Fast struggled to maintain their level of play. It was obvious that the tactic of the day for Hold Fast was to go for long shots, but in order to score they have to do better than the shooting attempt from Luca Rasmussen after 81 minutes, which was a total failure. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. After the regular 91 minutes, the agony of extra time followed. Hold Fast claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

The Hold Fast players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. During the break, Beppolinos's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. With the score still deadlocked after extra time, the teams took to the field for a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner.

Hold Fast's Henri Raaska showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 2 - 1. A confident Gürkan Alasay of Beppolinos put the ball right where he wanted, but Olav Borgtun was right there for the save. No goal. Hold Fast's Olav Borgtun was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 3 - 1! Beppolinos's Aleksander Cierpka made no mistake. Olav Borgtun didn't have a chance. 3 - 2. Hold Fast's Remon Wijdenbosch coolly put the ball past Carl Feest. 4 - 2. Beppolinos's Mårten Fjelwald kept his cool as he faced down Olav Borgtun. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 4 - 3. Hold Fast's Ulrik Bjarmann made no mistake. Carl Feest didn't have a chance. 5 - 3. Beppolinos's Igor Johansson penalty shot was very well placed but Olav Borgtun went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 5 - 3. The match ends 5 - 3. Most important Hold Fast player was Olav Borgtun. Henrik Aune was a disappointment, however. Hans Jacobsson performed admirably for Beppolinos. However, Carl Feest made a disastrous appearance.
