polarni 0 - 6 Guza

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 1778 had shown up at Stadion FC Vojvodina for the match. Koit Luts was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Christian Weingartner and . The match took place on neutral ground. polarni had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Zizler - Desprès, Davidović, Ocokoljić - Ribas, Camps, Psifidis, von der Marwitz, Veselinović - Bell, Ghasi.

Guza started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Kõlar - Smeers, Paredes, Veldhoen - Matavž, Mistelbauer, Aizpurua, Allgäuer, Simanjuntak - Machado, Rosiek.

The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Guza's Fernando Machado after 2 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. After 18 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Daniel Aizpurua a chance to increase the lead for Guza, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The visitors added to their lead 28 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Guza's Matija Matavž slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 3. By now, the players in Guza felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 36 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as Maic Mistelbauer finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The visitors' Filip Rosiek took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 36 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Guza. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Guza claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

With 48 minutes played, Tantra Simanjuntak nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. After 51 minutes, Guza were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. Tantra Simanjuntak did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Guza's Matija Matavž got himself booked for a foul. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, Momčilo Davidović of polarni spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Matija Matavž received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 61 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 6. The Guza fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Benjamí Camps from polarni a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 62 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Guza, with 61 percent of the ball.

polarni's top performer was clearly Pius Bell. However, Igor Ocokoljić made a disastrous appearance. Guza's best player was Fernando Machado. Lázaro Paredes was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
