PaTe 2 - 2 Pentinmaa

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 1249 to Sointulan Wembley. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Raviv Ben Yossef. Although the formal home team was PaTe, the spectators were of course much preferring Pentinmaa. A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for PaTe. Starters: Sladić - Gúlúbov, Kolmonen, Razzi, Lyysaari, Eloregui - Küstennebel, Vatsar, Nummenranta, Pezzatti - Zdrot.

Pentinmaa started off with a 5-4-1 lineup. They fielded: Søltoft - Gattuso, Knödler, Alila, Tero, Gózon - Kumlin, Suomi, Markula, Helin - Kortell.

For their match strategy, Pentinmaa had decided to use their magnificent ability to counter-attack whenever possible. PaTe caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 8 minutes into the match. Wacław Zdrot was able to finish off the move - 1 - 0. Johannes Lyysaari of PaTe was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Pentinmaa almost scored after a counterattack 24 minutes into the match, but Toni Kortell took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. PaTe claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

The counterattacks of Pentinmaa were deadly and 48 minutes into the game, Valtteri Kumlin received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 1 - 1. With 54 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as Felix Vatsar flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Bob Küstennebel left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 55 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Masaya Tsukahara was the replacement. The corner kick from Toni Kortell was powerfully met by the head of Gabriel Knödler to make the score 2 - 2. At 69 minutes played, Wacław Zdrot came in from the right with the intention of giving PaTe the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. As the 70 minute mark approached, the PaTe coach decided it was time for a substitution. Sami Nummenranta reluctantly made way for Patrick Claydon on the pitch. Johannes Lyysaari didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by PaTe, with 61 percent of the ball.

Most important PaTe player was Patrick Claydon. Johannes Lyysaari turned in a dismal performance, however. Leevi Tero performed admirably for Pentinmaa. However, Valtteri Kumlin made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
