PaTe 0 - 2 Eksyneet

The 1320 spectators at Sointulan Wembley were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Eduard Javorník was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and . The match took place on neutral ground. PaTe started off with a 5-4-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Sladić - Lyysaari, Kolmonen, Avşar, Razzi, Eloregui - Küstennebel, Claydon, Vatsar, Tonteri - Zdrot.

Eksyneet decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. They fielded: Miralles - Masum, Iso-Ahola, Häggman, Huotari, Sinivuo - Laurila, Wistad, Coiffard - Jin, Holden.

With 15 minutes gone, Andrea Razzi suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by PaTe caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. Eksyneet took the lead 26 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Johann Holden was the scorer. The home crowd cheered when, after 30 minutes, In-Soo Jin's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Eksyneet enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

After 51 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Juhani Laurila a chance to increase the lead for Eksyneet, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. After 55 minutes, PaTe switched Patrick Claydon with Sami Nummenranta, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The bench was restless, and with 60 minutes passed PaTe's coach gave Masaya Tsukahara the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Bob Küstennebel reluctantly left the field. In-Soo Jin wanted to play on, but the Eksyneet coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 60 minutes into the game by Alex Trangoni. As usual, Polat Masum tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. After 71 minutes PaTe's Johannes Lyysaari contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Johannes Lyysaari didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. It was almost a goal for PaTe following Kenan Avşar's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though. The Eksyneet players could smell victory in the air. Enrique Miralles wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Tuncay Özlenen after 85 minutes. Eksyneet had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.

Most important PaTe player was Sami Nummenranta. Johannes Lyysaari on the other hand, had a terrible day. Johann Holden performed admirably for Eksyneet. Eelis Häggman turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
