Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and stadio artesia saw a crowd turnout of 28132. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and . artemide tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Pedra - Scolesi, Grud Jensen, Gaul - Chiezzi Porrini, Iapalucci, Catellini, Pillittu - Peña Ruiz, Hanhimäki, Letzing.

Funamboli had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Fornasini - Griffiths, Borgarello, Roiz - Schach-Matt, Gianninoni, Longobardi, Bulgarelli, Raeber - Zumbühl, Pedrero.

After 3 minutes of play, Jorge Peña Ruiz gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. artemide managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when Simone Chiezzi Porrini cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Some things can only be learned through experience, and Alfredo Bulgarelli should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting artemide a goal with 23 minutes of the match played. 28 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Gero Gaul broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for artemide. Alessio Iapalucci should probably have put his team up another goal after 29 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Matteo Fornasini kept the visitors in the game. The referee showed Funamboli's Policarpio Roiz the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 37 minutes Funamboli's Alfredo Bulgarelli contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. artemide solidified their lead at the 39 minute mark, as Andrea Scolesi dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Francesco Catellini from artemide a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 40 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by artemide, with 72 percent of the ball.

After 47 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Niklas Letzing gave the artemide supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 0. The players of artemide now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 48 minutes, Jorge Peña Ruiz put artemide ahead 6 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Francesco Catellini of artemide seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 7 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Gero Gaul. Cheers filled the stadium as Francesco Catellini broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 8 - 0 to artemide. Funamboli's Enrico Borgarello was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 64 minutes. artemide's Andrea Scolesi had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 67 minutes having been played. Kas Decabooter was the replacement. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Luigi Massimo Pillittu squirmed through their central defence after 69 minutes, increasing the lead to 9 - 0. 69 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when artemide's Francesco Catellini received his second yellow card and was sent off. artemide enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.

artemide's best player was Alessio Iapalucci. Kas Decabooter was a disappointment, however. Most important Funamboli player was Mario Gianninoni. Matteo Fornasini on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 9 - 0.
