32430 spectators had come to Savski this cloudy day. Ole Brockhusen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gaffar Ertaşgün and Reza Venneman. The head coach flashed hand signals from the sideline and Savski formed up in a 3-5-2 combination. Let's hope the opposing sideline wasn't filming that. They fielded: Džepina - Merhar, Doenselmann, Zelen - Štrublić, Munjas, Peigne, Šoštarec, Franolić - Opdam, Taraš.

Our studio analysts were correct. Bezkintosi has taken the field in a 3-5-2 alignment. The following players took the field: Carlsen - Mårtensson, Focruz, O'Sullivan - Kasırga, Conc, Obernöder, Podgornik, Milić - Valentim, Rivas Pérez.

Savski used their outstanding ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the field. With 4 minutes played, Bezkintosi's I. Milić pulled up limping after a savage, cowardly challenge. But he's not yet ready to shuffle off this mortal coil. He's staying in to play on. The valiant never taste of death but once! Against a lesser team, Bezkintosi could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick combination after 5 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Savski's K. Opdam had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 14 minutes gone. H. Mirocha was the replacement. Making his way up the middle after 22 minutes, H. Mirocha almost managed to sneak a goal past the visitors' keeper, but A. Carlsen was ready and blocked it to keep the score level. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Savski, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. Some great play up the middle by Savski led to a chance for H. Mirocha to get the go-ahead goal with 23 minutes played, but the shot hit the crossbar. Bezkintosi's G. Podgornik managed to lose the defenders as he burst through the right side and scored, putting the visitors ahead, 0 - 1. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Bezkintosi did a good job holding on to the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

After 57 minutes of game time, R. Rivas Pérez had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, hitting a cross from the right with a half volley, but S. Džepina was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. I. Milić increased the visitors' lead by volleying in a pass from the right. 0 - 2. After this, you could see that Bezkintosi's players were mostly interested in killing time and holding on to their lead. 85 minutes into the game a free kick by I. Milić found its way right through the home side's poorly assembled wall, making Bezkintosi's lead 0 - 3. It was obvious that Savski had instructions to attack in the middle when they directed a break on the wing into the center of the park. H. Mirocha did everything he could to get one back for the home crowd, but keeper A. Carlsen denied him with a spectacular save. Savski's G. Peigne was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 87 minutes. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Bezkintosi's B. Obernöder got himself booked. V. Štrublić challenged the visitors' central defense eagerly, producing a good chance 89 minutes into the game as he raced for a through ball. But, like so many times before, the guests' defensive positioning was just too good. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Bezkintosi had 51...51 percent possession. AH AH AH!

Most important Savski player was P. Taraš. Speaking of stinking up the place, D. Doenselmann sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Bezkintosi's top performer was clearly B. Obernöder. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because A. Carlsen seemed to stumble all over the pitch. The match ends 0 - 3.
