It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 19269 that came out to EL SURITO ESTADIUM. Sandro Schwanck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marcell Westner and Johann Wurzinger. Gentlemen prefer blondes and SURITOS prefers a 3-5-2. Let's see how this plays out for them. Starters: Felbermair - Kaczmarczyk, Falkdahl, Hartiala - Sjöholt, Erbas, Forrer, Langi, Caldas - Hohenbrunn, Nibelungen.

After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, Vallecas decided to go with a 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Somonte - Frigola, Abrahamsen, Conlledo - Palomeque, Getzinger, Schmidtke, Serra, Martínez Perea - Astazi, Fornalczyk.

Vallecas mostly ignored the flanks in favor of their outstanding ability to attack in the middle. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile I. Kaczmarczyk. Vallecas's counter-attacks created a good chance for J. Schmidtke on the right after 25 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. E. Nibelungen will have Excedrin Headache number 5 after heading home the hard corner kick from J. Sjöholt after 30 minutes of play. I'm sure that making the score 1 - 0 will assuage him a bit, though. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Vallecas, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. Vallecas tied it all up, 35 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by A. Fornalczyk, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defense, making it 1 - 1. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, SURITOS's J. Sjöholt got himself booked. Despite the fact that he was falling backwards, H. Langi still managed to send an excellent header goalwards. The crossbar is the keeper's best friend though, and the ball bounced harmlessly out of play. Vallecas took the lead 43 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. J. Palomeque was the scorer. It was 1 - 2 at the break. SURITOS set the tempo, maintaining 51 percent of possession.

M. Serra came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but his attempted chip over K. Felbermair just kept rising and landed in the relieved crowd. SURITOS's E. Nibelungen put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 52 minutes, but the ball went wide. SURITOS's coach was furious with K. Hartiala after he picked up a yellow for saying one too many words to the ref. 59 minutes into the game, Vallecas were awarded a penalty and A. Astazi was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 3, rolling the ball in off the right post. The visitors added to their lead 60 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Vallecas's A. Astazi slid just past the home keeper. 1 - 4. Vallecas's players now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. There was concern in the stands when, at the 61 minute mark, SURITOS's E. Nibelungen hit the ground hard, but with the help of the trainer's magic spray, he rejoined his teammates on the field. They weren't going to win with their current game plan, so the SURITOS coach told his players how to change things up 70 minutes in. The forty-five minutes were dominated by SURITOS, with an impressive 51 percent possession of the ball.

SURITOS's best player was J. Forrer. Speaking of stinking up the place, K. Hartiala sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Vallecas's top performer was clearly A. Astazi. Good thing L. Frigola isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. The match ends 1 - 4.
