The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 29020 had shown up at Frankensteins Höhle for the match. Jón Svart Jacobsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Heiko Lünen and Johan Kruse. Our studio analysts were correct. Rhino´s has taken the field in a 3-5-2 alignment. Starters: Mayrhofer - Burkel, Keen, Zweig - Kasparek, Falck, Fajth, Engerer, Benages - Deguai, Matosas.

After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, Gladenbach decided to go with a 4-5-1 formation. The following players had been selected: Blanco - Barulho, Bielicz, McGuinness, Polk - Burgk, Lafargue, Ionas, Girafa, Debacker - Ingemarsson.

Like the adage "bend but don't break", Gladenbach will rely on their magnificent ability to counter-attack today. L. Kasparek gave Rhino´s the 1 - 0 lead, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball at the keeper's right post – what a clinical finish! Rhino´s's H. Burkel swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defense were able to clear the ball. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Rhino´s's lead to 2 - 0 as F. Falck finished it off clinically, firing the shot from a terrible angle. With 39 minutes played, A. Deguai could have brought this one home for Rhino´s as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Rhino´s did a good job holding on to the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

A. Deguai was not content with his team's lead, and tried to extend it 47 minutes into the game after a nice run through the middle, but his shot went wide. Gladenbach almost scored after a swift counter-attack 48 minutes into the game, but M. Barulho put the shot from the left flank just outside the frame. N. Matosas had a fantastic opportunity to put Rhino´s up another goal 50 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The counter-attack by Gladenbach resulted in a free kick that M. McGuinness dipped just under the crossbar - 2 - 1! Gladenbach needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes G. Lafargue made way for W. Stochniałek. È. Benages looked around after sending his opponent to the ground to realize he was the last man. That's called denial of a goalscoring opportunity, and the Rhino´s player was sent off after 61 minutes. Parents shielded their children's eyes as Gladenbach's L. Debacker left the field on a stretcher from a studs-first challenge. Oh good night - his thigh is ripped open! It looks like a pack of zombies got a hold of him! R. Molins took his place on the pitch. L. Kasparek should probably have put his team up another goal after 71 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by A. Blanco kept the visitors in the game. Rhino´s's M. Zweig was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 74 minutes. Things were going from bad to worse for the visitors. N. Matosas was able to squirm through the central defense after 82 minutes and score, bringing the lead to 3 - 1. Rhino´s's M. Keen saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates 83 minutes in. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Rhino´s had 67...67 percent possession. AH AH AH!

Rhino´s's best player was N. Matosas. Speaking of stinking up the place, E. Mayrhofer sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. W. Stochniałek performed admirably for Gladenbach. I can't remember S. Bielicz ever having a worse night than he just had. The match ends 3 - 1.
