The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 46757 had shown up at Leite Caixa Quentinho for the match. Fredy Rohrer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Artur Cadonau and Quim Pontes. Our studio analysts were correct. Batnavo has taken the field in a 2-5-3 alignment. The following players had been selected: Clímaco - Arieira, Santos Fernandes - Araizaga, Polónia, Coelho, Casellato, van de Steeg - Oracz, Cayon, Ahčan.

After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, DragaoFire-S.A.D. decided to go with a 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Carvalho - Liukkonen, Gonçalves, Žarkaitis - Skurjeni, Morlotti, Ingemann, Cabañas, Aarden - Cestr, Mastellone.

DragaoFire-S.A.D. seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their magnificent ability to great effect. Batnavo broke through on the left after 6 minutes, with G. Casellato firing at an impossible angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Batnavo's P. Oracz finally got himself booked for a foul. The visitors got just what they'd been looking for after 21 minutes when S. Žarkaitis received a pass from the left and buried it in the bottom corner, leveling it at 1 - 1. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for DragaoFire-S.A.D., and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. 23 minutes into the game, S. Žarkaitis almost gave the visitors the lead, as he chipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Batnavo, with an impressive 53 percent possession of the ball.

Priding himself in being an active coach, the DragaoFire-S.A.D. manager gave new directions for his players after 46 minutes. 50 minutes into the match, the DragaoFire-S.A.D. manager wanted to try a new tactic, and the players loyally obliged. With the clock showing 60 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. G. Casellato looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for M. Mourisca, though he would have liked to continue. After a fine move down the middle A. Ahčan nearly put the home side one up with 63 minutes played. His final touch escaped him though and the keeper smothered the ball. 65 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Batnavo substitution. F. Mahfoud Filali came on for C. Cayon. Maybe Z. Skurjeni should join the aquatics team instead. He went down dramatically after 69 minutes, crying out with agony as he fell. The referee was not impressed, though, and showed him a yellow for diving. F. Mahfoud Filali was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Batnavo's S. van de Steeg managed to get ahold of the rebound and scored to make it 2 - 1. Batnavo managed to extend their lead to 3 - 1 when F. Mahfoud Filali slid in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After 78 minutes, DragaoFire-S.A.D. were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the kicker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his teammates a bit by surprise. L. Cestr did manage a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball out of bounds. DragaoFire-S.A.D. needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 80 minutes U. Ingemann made way for E. Dziwota. 81 minutes into the game, DragaoFire-S.A.D. had difficulty finding their positions and their organization dropped to weak. Batnavo added another goal to their lead as F. Mahfoud Filali struck home for 4 - 1 after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. By now, the players of Batnavo felt that victory was a sure thing and began to play it safe, focusing on defense and not risking too much going forward. With 83 minutes played, Batnavo's F. Mahfoud Filali received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. DragaoFire-S.A.D. kept trying to force their way through on the right side and F. Morlotti got his chance after 87 minutes, but the home side's defense held their position and stopped the attack. Batnavo's H. Clímaco wanted to play on, but after 89 minutes the decision was made to give M. Bexiga a chance in his place. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Batnavo had 69...69 percent possession. AH AH AH!

Batnavo's top performer was clearly M. Mourisca. Good thing M. Bexiga isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. Most important DragaoFire-S.A.D. player was E. Carvalho. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by C. Aarden today. The match ends 4 - 1.
