Zavka 3 - 0 sebucha

The local marching band welcomed a crowd of 68597 to Zavka Arena. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Frede Arndal and Christian Pelloux. Cry "havoc" and let loose the dogs of war! Zavka will go to battle in a 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Mutu - Mattschull, Akpakoun, Ferlay - Charino, Ernsberger, Mallo, Ingenito, Pastoors - Lloria, Montenay.

Gentlemen prefer blondes and sebucha prefers a 4-5-1. Let's see how this plays out for them. Lineup: Shuvalov - Floriańczyk, Defresne, Brabec, Ercan - Kammer, Quintans, Buchmann, Davoli, Corsetti - Michelet.

Zavka took a creative approach on the field. sebucha has displayed formidable talent to press and shut down attacks all over the field. J. Lloria seemed to be defying gravity as he elegantly headed in a goal for Zavka after a corner kick that was nicely executed by J. Ferlay. That makes it 1 - 0. sebucha's ability to press all over the field paid off frequently. 13 minutes into the game, sebucha had difficulty finding their positions and their organization dropped to inadequate. Zavka managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when F. Mallo slid in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After this, you could see that Zavka's players were mostly interested in killing time and holding on to their lead. With 22 minutes played, sebucha's G. Corsetti received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Zavka were forced into a substitution as C. Mutu couldn't continue playing due to some rough treatment, so T. Łuczywek had to come in from the bench. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Zavka set the tempo, maintaining 68 percent of possession.

The sebucha coach might have gone through a whole marker putting the playbook up on the board, but it seemed to have worked, with the team regaining a solid organization for the second half. After 55 minutes, sebucha substituted G. Kammer for K. Rejniak, hoping for a quick impact on the field. sebucha needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes R. Quintans made way for N. Doenselmann. At this time in the match, sebucha were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. The referee showed Zavka's G. Akpakoun the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. That was no dive! sebucha's T. Brabec looked to be in real pain after being caught by a stray leg. The fans held their breath, but in the end he managed to get up and keep playing. 69 minutes in, sebucha appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only passable. Zavka's J. Ferlay knows he could have done better after sending a weak penalty into the keeper's arms after 71 minutes. G. Corsetti remonstrated furiously with the referee after sebucha had another decision go against them. His teammates tried to calm him down, but the referee had no alternative but to show him another yellow card and send him from the field. After 87 minutes, the excellent pass from the wing by Zavka's A. Charino reached T. Montenay's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 3 - 0. Zavka's F. Mattschull saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates 88 minutes in. 89 minutes into the game, sebucha seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Zavka would have 70 percent possession in this half was spot on!

T. Montenay performed admirably for Zavka. Good thing T. Łuczywek isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. sebucha's best player was P. Buchmann. Speaking of stinking up the place, K. Rejniak sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. The match ends 3 - 0.
