Due to an all-day shower, 12000 paying spectators got to see the game on a field-turned-swamp at Stadio San Juve. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Co Leeuwangh and Enrico Gaeta. Cry "havoc" and let loose the dogs of war! JuveCimbom will go to battle in a 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Badran - Jabri, Abu Dahab, El-Wahesh, Sharaf - Dawoud, Mahmoud, El-Shareef, Saleem - Al-Dahhan, Obeid.

After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, ę9, decided to go with a 4-4-2 formation. Starters: Hmeedat - Nasralla, Abbasi, El-Far, Abu Laila - Abu Hmaid, El-Waked, Saqer, Sub Laban - Ramahy, Barjes.

Proving that a foot massage and a pre-game pedicure can work wonders, K. Jabri sent a rocket into the box from the corner, finding N. Dawoud, who headed it past the keeper with extreme prejudice. 7 minutes in and it's 1 - 0! T. Saleem let loose a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. T. Obeid should probably have put his team up another goal after 18 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Hmeedat kept the visitors in the game. A run up the right wing paid off for ę9, as K. Barjes hit a wicked shot past the keeper to tie the game. 1 - 1 after 19 minutes. The 27 minute mark saw the home team take a 2 - 1 lead after a breaking through on the left. The scorer for JuveCimbom was T. Saleem. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that JuveCimbom would have 62 percent possession in this half was spot on!

55 minutes into the game, JuveCimbom's N. Dawoud tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Although the fans in the home section didn't agree with him, the linesman spotted an infraction inside the area. ę9,'s M. Nasralla converted the resulting penalty kick to equalize at 2 - 2. R. Abu Hmaid of ę9, received a yellow card after 65 minutes for unsportsmanlike behavior. 86 minutes into the game, L. Mahmoud had to leave the field due to a knee injury. In came Q. Sammour. Was that a pass or a bad touch? Either way, the inexperienced O. El-Wahesh almost gave ę9, a goal, but luckily they couldn't capitalize on the mistake. JuveCimbom took the lead 88 minutes in, after Q. Sammour's awkward, but ultimately successful, shot from the right. 3 - 2. JuveCimbom's N. Dawoud was shown a yellow card after 89 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 89 minutes in ę9, probably could have turned their free kick into a shot, but went for a cross instead. Unfortunately, Z. Saqer jumped too late and the ball was redirected out for a goal kick. Maybe H. Ramahy should join the aquatics team instead. He went down dramatically after 89 minutes, crying out with agony as he fell. The referee was not impressed, though, and showed him a yellow for diving. O. El-Wahesh had a difficult time moving the ball with his trademark elegance; the muddy surface was clearly affecting his technique. A. Sub Laban, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched field. K. Jabri almost put JuveCimbom ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. JuveCimbom set the tempo, maintaining 66 percent of possession.

The most outstanding JuveCimbom player was without a doubt H. Abu Dahab. I can't remember A. El-Shareef ever having a worse night than he just had. ę9,'s top performer was clearly H. Ramahy. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because H. El-Waked seemed to stumble all over the pitch. The match ends 3 - 2.
