The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 5310 had shown up at Hakuna Matata for the match. Budi Asrdiansyah was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Johann Peter Eidelböß. River had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Maldonado - Pon, Buzurro, Cameron, Ronco - Causerano, Baroja, Pisculichi, Causerano - Pérez, Risøy.

A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Neusimmering. The following players took the field: Moitzi - Lenz, Oberluggauer, Aydıner, Wu, Six - Normala, Rohrmoser, Walch - Scheiber, Schulz.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Neusimmering, taking advantage of their supernatural level with that tactic. With 28 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Zoran Scheiber put the ball away for 0 - 1. 31 minutes in, River's Emanuel Causerano received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, Patrick Rohrmoser of Neusimmering spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. 33 minutes into the game, River had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Paul Schulz came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Manu Maldonado but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. 40 minutes in, River appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. River's Homero Pisculichi was shown a yellow card after 42 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Paul Schulz of Neusimmering had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. Bernd Kaiser came in to finish the match. After 44 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as River found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. After 44 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Patrick Rohrmoser to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Neusimmering had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of River was able to get his message across, and raised River's organisation to solid. The referee showed River's Ricardo Enrique Baroja the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. At 50 minutes into the game, River's Homero Pisculichi deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2. Neusimmering's Zoran Scheiber got himself booked for a foul. Amos Cameron was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so River's Bartolomé Morinigo had to come off the bench. Neusimmering were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 58 minutes, Hubert Six swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 1 - 3. Some things can only be learned through experience, and Julian Oberluggauer should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting River a goal with 65 minutes of the match played. Neusimmering increased the lead to 1 - 4 as Patrick Rohrmoser scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. Neusimmering enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

The most dominating River player was without a doubt Joey Pon. However, Bartolomé Morinigo made a disastrous appearance. Olli Normala performed admirably for Neusimmering. Marko Lenz on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
