It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 51500 that came out to De Heksenketel. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and . Toverdrank decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players had been chosen: Augustyns - Canovas, Laichmann - Cîrnaţ, Goovaarts, van der Water, van Rijs, Gunnarsson - Schopman, Kleppa, Inga.

Foreburgh started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. Starters: Stannek - Dănilă, Hrelja, Pöyhönen, Torres, Jünke - Salomons, Palmans, Maier - Johnson, Wu Han.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Foreburgh, taking advantage of their divine (+2) level with that tactic. 2 minutes into the match, Foreburgh's James Johnson demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to Lee 'The Man' Wu Han who chipped it in for 0 - 1. The incalculable Adam Schopman of Toverdrank did everything right as he set up Rigoberto Inga for a goal after 6 minutes. Unfortunately, the strike missed its target. No matter how hard he tried, Adam Schopman just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 26 minutes. With 37 minutes played, after a good run down the left, Einar Kleppa went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. With 38 minutes gone, Bernard Salomons suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Foreburgh caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. Foreburgh's José João Torres was shown a yellow card after 41 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, Guillaume Canovas of Toverdrank spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Due to some great work on the right wing Toverdrank's Einar Kleppa was able to even the score after 44 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Rigoberto Inga got himself booked. The manager of Toverdrank was not happy. With 44 minutes played Mitică Cîrnaţ almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. With 44 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Foreburgh resulted in a counterattack that set Luis Jünke free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Toverdrank's Redbad van Rijs tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Toverdrank enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.

Foreburgh's counterattacks created a good chance for Petre-Lucian Maier on the right after 70 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. After 72 minutes Foreburgh tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, Aukusti Pöyhönen's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. Toverdrank could have put themselves ahead after 73 minutes but Guillaume Canovas missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. As the match clock reached 81 minutes, Toverdrank's organisation began to suffer due to a lack of experience. There was concern in the stands when, at the 85 minute mark, Foreburgh's Köbi Stannek hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. After 87 minutes Foreburgh's Aukusti Pöyhönen limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Toverdrank had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. During the break, Toverdrank's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, Rigoberto Inga scored for Toverdrank putting them ahead 2 - 1, after 100 minutes. With that Toverdrank had won the game in extra time. Toverdrank's best player was Rigoberto Inga. Guillaume Canovas was a disappointment, however. Most important Foreburgh player was Menno-Jan Palmans. Silviu Dănilă on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.
