micfr 0 - 6 Bizarre

The 1912 spectators at Viking Dome were in for an afternoon of sunshine. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bengt-Åke Carlsson and Ralf Biersack. micfr had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. The following players took the field: Freson - Jägers, Marjeta, Valdés, Timosaari, Prelčić - Vandecappelle, Renard, Hauman - Vanherp, Beumier.

A 4-3-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Bizarre. They fielded: Teichert - Kustermann, Luz, Kufferath, Echterdingen - Kuehs, Fira, Minšek - Langoechea, Köpenick, Bila-Natzmer.

micfr seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their solid level with that tactic. For their match strategy, Bizarre had decided to use their solid ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Henning Kustermann behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 5 minutes as he gave the ball away to Ruben Jägers. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. 9 minutes into the game, Henning Kustermann had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Marius Bila-Natzmer from Bizarre a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 12 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A loud groan was heard from the fans of micfr, as Julius Timosaari left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. Maximilian Dietzen-Gross took his place on the field. Bizarre had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 14 minutes in when Marius Bila-Natzmer came up alone against Fred Freson who managed a block. The guests took the lead 33 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Feliks Fira scoring to make it 0 - 1. micfr were close to equalising with a spectacular free kick by Nicolás Valdés after 35 minutes, but Mario Teichert made a great save, tipping it to a corner. After 38 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Carlos Langoechea who increased Bizarre's lead to 0 - 2. micfr's Ralph Beumier was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Unfortunately for Bizarre, Martin Kufferath was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. Jiří Hanzálek replaced him. Mihael Minšek was the new captain of Bizarre - handed the armband by the departing player. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bizarre, with 56 percent of the ball.

Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile Feliks Fira. After 74 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Marius Bila-Natzmer a chance to increase the lead for Bizarre, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. With 82 minutes played, Bizarre put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Marius Bila-Natzmer. Ralph Beumier of micfr got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. Usually a powerful player on the field, Frederic Vanherp looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. The visitors added to their lead 85 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Bizarre's Mihael Minšek slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 5. Confident in their lead, Bizarre's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. micfr's Eewoud Renard got himself booked for a foul. micfr's Lasse Marjeta had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 87 minutes having been played. Clémentin Hens was the replacement. The referee signalled a penalty 88 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. Mihael Minšek knocked it home to make the score 0 - 6. Bizarre enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Nicolás Valdés performed admirably for micfr. However, Maximilian Dietzen-Gross made a disastrous appearance. Bizarre's best player was Jiří Hanzálek. Luis Echterdingen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 6.
