Ukraina saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their divine (+1) level with that tactic. For their match strategy, Chile had decided to use their supernatural ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Ukraina's Konstantyn Leschenko had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 5 minutes having been played. Yakiv Kapelyushnikov was the replacement. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why Łukasz Żur found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. Some great play up the middle by Ukraina led to a chance for Konstantin Maly to score after 16 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Ukraina had a good opportunity to take the lead as Łukasz Żur came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Bayron Pumarino. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Yakiv Kapelyushnikov, but the Ukraina player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Ukraina put themselves up 2 - 0 when Łukasz Żur broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The players of Ukraina now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Ukraina enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

With 69 minutes played, the Chile coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Alberto Vidal came on, Nemesio Vergara had to leave the fray. Chile's Jovino Pattillo got himself booked for a foul. Mykhaylo 'Beton' Nikesha left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Vytaliy Sharafutdinov was the replacement. Fermín Arangua wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat. The coach of Ukraina was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 77 minutes, Fedir 'The Wall' Poklonskiy came on for Yaroslav Shmatovalenko. Ukraina's Valeriy 'T-Rex' Tereschenko swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. 80 minutes in, Ukraina's Fedir 'The Wall' Poklonskiy received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Maxim Skvortsov was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by Konstantin Maly, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. Ukraina had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. After 88 minutes, Łukasz Żur put Ukraina ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Ukraina had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

Ukraina's top performer was clearly Łukasz Żur. On the other hand, Yakiv Kapelyushnikov's play was disheartening. Joakim Prettenhofer performed admirably for Chile. However, Bayron Pumarino made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 0.
