RedO 5 - 0 Zumu

1188 spectators had found their way to Pisicile albe Arena, despite the heavy rain. Óscar Vivero Luna was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Leopoldo Caniglia and Alessandro Pellegrini. The match took place on neutral ground. RedO had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Cordoş - Månblom, Esteban, Leystra - Bălţoi, Cerbu, Bădilă, Tutoveanu - Ispas, Săcăluş, Achleitner.

Zumu started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Musetto - Głuchowski, Semeria, Butuc - Petruţa, Măcicăşan, Nádor, Codreanu, Iamandi - Ioniţă, Ferfelea.

The wings were the focus of most of RedO's attacks on this day, taking advantage of their divine level with that tactic. Zumu used their supernatural ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. It was a bad day for the usually speedy Gabriel Bădilă. The mud seemed to slow him down. RedO fans held their breath as Ionuţ-Gabriel Săcăluş scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! RedO had to make a substitution after 30 minutes. Silviu Cerbu limped off the field and was replaced by Bogdan Grecu. Alexandru Petruţa had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. It was obvious that RedO had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. RedO's Bernd Achleitner swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. RedO's Gabriel Bădilă was shown a yellow card after 41 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Zumu had a chance to level the scores as Alexandru Petruţa suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. RedO played a good counterattacking move down the left 43 minutes into the match, with Bernd Achleitner finishing well for 2 - 0. Markus Mittermayr was called on to replace RedO's Per Månblom after 44 minutes following a nasty collision. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Zumu had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Zumu needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes András Nádor made way for Alexander Takács. The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Zumu's coach gave Radu Răţoi the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Alexandru Petruţa reluctantly left the field. After 46 minutes, Zumu switched Paul Iamandi with Gabriel Berghian, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. RedO put themselves up 3 - 0 when Mihai-Lucian Tutoveanu broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. By now, the players in RedO felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Ionuţ-Gabriel Săcăluş from RedO a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 62 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Adrian Ispas unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. RedO's Balthasar Leystra had an excellent opportunity after 66 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 68 minutes, RedO's George Bălţoi swiftly ran past Cristian Butuc and nutmegged the keeper! 4 - 0. RedO were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. RedO's Mihai-Lucian Tutoveanu increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 79 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to Zumu, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Most important RedO player was Mihai-Lucian Tutoveanu. However, Markus Mittermayr made a disastrous appearance. Zumu's best player was Florin Ferfelea. Cristian Butuc on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
