191478 spectators had come to FIORENTINA T&T Arena this cloudy day. Jan Adolfsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Matthys van Herpen and Oskar Greiller. It is not something you see very often, but on this day some sections of the stadium had been boosted with extra seats so that all fans could be accommodated. Lineup: Patel - Creque, Kulkarni - Symes, Holloway, Davis, Shrivastava, Croke - Fattah Alaga, Sobus, Shah.

Starters: Bulla - Csepeli, Lehel, Vaszil, Hámori, Dittrich - Pogány, Krucsai, Skrúcaný, Marosits - Murza.

Trinidad & Tobago started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas Magyarország lined up in a 5-4-1 formation. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Magyarország, taking advantage of their divine (+1) level with that tactic. Magyarország's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing Áron Lehel to score easily from the right flank for 0 - 1. With 12 minutes played, after a good run down the left, Dharamveer Shrivastava went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. With the clock showing 13 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Magyarország resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Jozef Skrúcaný in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Dharamveer Shrivastava was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his left knee after 22 minutes. The replacement for the injured player was Marcus O’Higgins. As Dharamveer Shrivastava left the field, the coach signaled to Tyrone 'Smoke' Croke to be the new set pieces taker. After 25 minutes of play, Dane Davis equalised for Trinidad & Tobago after an elegant attack from the right. With 37 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Magyarország resulted in a counterattack that set Csaba Hámori free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Trinidad & Tobago, with 66 percent of the ball.

With 74 minutes played Omar Holloway almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. 75 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Trinidad & Tobago substitution. Miraj Singh came on for Rasbihari 'Wall' Patel. Good work by the Magyarország defensive line after 75 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found Tibor Murza alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. 78 minutes into the game, Trinidad & Tobago wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Tom Symes gave Dwayne 'Lightning Bolt' Lamming a quick hug as he left the field. With the scoreboard clock showing 80 minutes, the inexperienced Magyarország team fell into disarray. Trinidad & Tobago were very close to putting themselves one up after 81 minutes as Omar Holloway got through on the left. However, his concentration failed him, and he shot wide. After 82 minutes, the defensive line of Magyarország created a counterattack through the middle that gave Tibor Murza a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. As the 85 minute mark approached, the Magyarország coach decided it was time for a substitution. János Bulla reluctantly made way for Danko Nikšić on the pitch. The match ends 1 - 1. Trinidad & Tobago had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

Most important Trinidad & Tobago player was Mahesh Shah. Tyrone 'Smoke' Croke on the other hand, had a terrible day. Magyarország's best player was Jozef Skrúcaný. Kevin Vaszil turned in a dismal performance, however.
