The crowd of 58600 turning up at iviteam Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Gilberto Binggeli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Nicolas Beuve. The arena management had taken the extraordinary decision to boost some sections with temporary seats in order to guarantee every fan a place in the stadium. The match took place on neutral ground. They fielded: Nikšić - Csepeli, Lehel, Kucsa, Dittrich - Marosits, Krucsai, Endreffy, Skrúcaný, Kárpáti - Murza.

Starters: Natsir - Aidil, Anduk - Setyono, Purnawan, Mappasessu, Pondaag, Asri - Siswantoro, Ikhsan, Assa.

Magyarország fielded a 4-5-1 lineup. For Indonesia, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Magyarország, taking advantage of their mythical level with that tactic. A well placed corner kick from Zsolt Marosits was followed by Roland Csepeli's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Magyarország, the score now 1 - 0. 26 minutes into the match, the technically gifted Amsali Ikhsan of Indonesia scored 1 - 1, having made Jozef Skrúcaný look like a complete fool. Mahendra Siswantoro had a good try after 29 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Magyarország made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left Zsolt Marosits completely alone with keeper Ari Natsir, who made a spectacular block. Indonesia had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 34 minutes in when Dermawan Setia Assa came up alone against Danko Nikšić who managed a block. István Endreffy stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving Magyarország the goal to make it 2 - 1. At the 36 mark, Amsali Ikhsan screamed out in pain as his arm was twisted into an unnatural position. The Indonesia coach had no choice but to make an immediate substitution. The replacement for the injured player was Sapto Nugraha. 44 minutes into the game Indonesia's Firman Mappasessu found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 2 - 2. Bence Kárpáti slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. Sapto Nugraha had a good opportunity to give Indonesia the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Tibor Murza was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Magyarország counterattack from the left after 44 minutes. His neat finish made the score 3 - 2. Ari Natsir went down after twisting his right ankle after 44 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. Yance Koswaratried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. Halftime score was 3 - 2. Indonesia had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

A cross coming in on the right hand side left Sapto Nugraha alone in front of the goal after 66 minutes but his shot was woeful. The Magyarország players could smell victory in the air. Gábor Krucsai wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Dávid Iffiú after 70 minutes. Dermawan Setia Assa was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Magyarország to 4 - 2 as Bence Kárpáti finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. János Kucsa wanted to play on, but the Magyarország coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by Csaba Jánosi. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. After 89 minutes, Magyarország's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. The match ends 4 - 2. Indonesia claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

Magyarország's best player was Tibor Murza. Áron Lehel on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Indonesia player was without a doubt Mahendra Siswantoro. Reynaldi Aidil was a disappointment, however.
