A scorching day at Free Range, where 75750 spectators were in place for today's match. Remi Aarseth was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ger de Keiser and Demeter Karabiňoš. The match took place on neutral ground. Lineup: Bulla - Lehel, Jánosi, Gáspár, Eisenhoffer - Kolos, Iffiú, Endreffy, Kajtár, Krucsai - Murza.

The following players had been chosen: Ermaniuk - Chadau, Platkouski, Botuh - Sliapakou, Nikovich, Lebiadok, Kazharnovich - Vasiliuk, Vysotskiy, Sanevich.

Magyarország started the game in a 4-5-1 formation, whereas Belarus lined up in a 3-4-3 formation. A wonderful trick by Andrej Sanevich that left Sándor Gáspár bewildered really deserved to end in a goal but the keeper made a fine save. 32 minutes in, Belarus's Uladzimir Lebiadok received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Magyarország got a penalty shot 33 minutes into the game, but Tibor Murza scuffed the shot slightly and Piatrok Ermaniuk was able to block. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Magyarország had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

They were singing the praises of Áron Lehel 51 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Magyarország. Csaba Jánosi of Magyarország seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 2 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Tibor Murza. The Belarus free kick 64 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of Dzmitry Botuh, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 1! With 67 minutes played, the Belarus coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Siarhej Reutski came on, Uladzimir Lebiadok had to leave the fray. After 71 minutes, Belarus switched Andrej Sanevich with Uladzimir Tsupa, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The bench was restless, and with 74 minutes passed Belarus's coach gave Pavel Plashkevich the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Viktar Kazharnovich reluctantly left the field. Mikita Sliapakou twisted his arm after 76 minutes, forcing Belarus to make a substitution. Due to this disastrous turn of events, the team now had to finish the match with a reduced lineup. As the game started to slip away for Belarus, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. Coming from the right, Gábor Krucsai almost managed to score another goal for Magyarország, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Siarzhuk Vasiliuk's speed was clear to see after 85 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released Dmitry Vysotskiy who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 2 - 2. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 2 - 2. Magyarország claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

The most dominating Magyarország player was without a doubt Tibor Murza. However, Sándor Gáspár made a disastrous appearance. Belarus's best player was Siarzhuk Vasiliuk. Aliaksandar Chadau turned in a dismal performance, however.
