Verlegenheit 0 - 9 Budenzauber

8617 punters turned up at Irrenhaus, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Igor Dimitrijević was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jaakko Vähänissi and Robert Dyrhall. Lineup: Strasen - Lilie, Blasnik, Bauer-Reif, Bentheim - Radivojević, Herrenmoor, Täubert, Kloppenburg - Grafinger, Hortobagy.

They fielded: Gretka - Dudschke, Boitor, Moković, Heitmann - Bluna, Hechenblaikner, Đình Chiểu, Wellke - Steininger-Erben, Fincke.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 4-4-2 formation. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 22 minutes allowed Lê Đình Chiểu to score for Budenzauber. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. 23 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Tristan Dudschke finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Lê Đình Chiểu received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 24 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Budenzauber fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 26 minutes into the game, Andrei Boitor had to leave the field due to a rib injury. This gave Tomi Viitala a chance to take to the field instead. A drive down the left side allowed Lê Đình Chiểu to get in close and score another goal for Budenzauber after 28 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. By then Lê Đình Chiểu had scored three goals - a hat trick! After 31 minutes, Budenzauber's Mijo Moković burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Budenzauber had most of the ball, with 89 percent of possession.

The visitors' Tristan Dudschke took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 59 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Budenzauber. With 64 minutes played, Budenzauber put themselves up 0 - 7 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Max Paul Bluna. The home crowd was not impressed when Max Paul Bluna came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 73 minutes. Budenzauber were now up 0 - 8. Lê Đình Chiểu was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his left knee after 74 minutes. The replacement for the injured player was Marcell Holzer. The Budenzauber players could smell victory in the air. Boris Fincke wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Filip Drulić after 75 minutes. After 75 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mijo Moković a chance to increase the lead for Budenzauber, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 9. After 76 minutes, Rainer Grafinger took a hard knock between his legs. He needed a long breather but were eventually able to continue the game. 79 minutes into the game, Budenzauber worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 4 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 0 - 9. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Budenzauber, with 90 percent of the ball.

Verlegenheit's best player was Rainer Grafinger. However, Helmut Bauer-Reif made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Budenzauber player was without a doubt Filip Drulić. Mijo Moković was a disappointment, however.
