WCW 3 - 1 Kadur

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and WCW Arena saw a crowd turnout of 30959. Robert Alexander was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Manuel Fréchette and Daan Bloemen. Lineup: Şchiop - Patoux, Elit, Galilov, Bentov - Backović, Mordoch, van Baerle, Ben-Harush - Tiraboschi, Pètre.

They fielded: Dieux - Duffy, Molini, Pervane - Żochowski, Mechtler, Uzunov, Pierangeli - Tiponuţ, Campana, Hadi.

WCW started the game in a 4-4-2 formation, whereas Kadur Agol lined up in a 3-4-3 formation. WCW saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their divine level with that tactic. It was obvious that Kadur were using their excellent pressing skill as their primary tactic. With 28 minutes played Cataldo Tiraboschi almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Kadur took the lead 31 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Abdul-Rahim Hadi was the scorer. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 34 minutes into the match, an alert Salomon Patoux bagged the ball for WCW, levelling the score to 1 - 1. WCW took the lead 41 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as Avichay Mordoch elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of WCW to 3 - 1 as Gilles Pètre finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Halftime score was 3 - 1. WCW claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

The bench was restless, and with 64 minutes passed Kadur's coach gave Primus Mekel the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Orlandinho Campana reluctantly left the field. Kadur needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 66 minutes Girolamo Molini made way for Simone Ginnari. As Girolamo Molini left the field, the coach signaled to Scott Duffy to be the new set pieces taker. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Atanas Uzunov took over the role of being the Kadur captain. With 66 minutes played, Eustachio Pierangeli of Kadur fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Kadur pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Kadur breathed new life into the game with an attempt to reduce the lead after 76 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball off the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar. Scott Duffy had a couple of good opportunities to reply after getting through the middle of the opposition defence, but the home team's keeper Cătălin Şchiop was simply unbeatable. WCW's Abir Bentov got himself booked for a foul. It emerged that Eustachio Pierangeli had hurt his left foot after 81 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. The replacement for the injured player was Roberto Pachón. Gilles Pètre should probably have put his team up another goal after 82 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Florent Dieux kept the visitors in the game. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 3 - 1. WCW had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Most important WCW player was Gilles Pètre. Cătălin Şchiop on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Kadur player was without a doubt Cezar Tiponuţ. Roberto Pachón turned in a dismal performance, however.
