Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 19381 at Havixbeck Arena today. Taher Al-Domaini was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dan Zaharescu and Orlando González. Lineup: Oliveros - Yates, Genens, Parrinello, Bustamante - Guéant, Liebl, Backert, Ascue - Luginbil, Sakellaropoulos.

They fielded: Gretka - Heitmann, Boitor, Barigou - Grill, Saurauer, Đình Chiểu, Hechenblaikner, Dziuba - Zechenpreller, Hentsch.

1. FC Havixbeck entered the field in a 4-4-2 formation. The visitors, BW Budenzauber, chose to start the game with a 3-5-2 lineup. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Havixbeck, taking advantage of their brilliant level with that tactic. Budenzauber took the lead 24 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Mark Grill was the scorer. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Andy Hentsch got himself booked. The manager of Budenzauber was not happy. Budenzauber increased their lead after 34 minutes when Tobias Saurauer broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Budenzauber had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

Johannes Zechenpreller was, after 49 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Damián Oliveros made the save. Mark Grill came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Damián Oliveros but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. With 75 minutes played, the Havixbeck coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Bastian Gusovius came on, Nontas Sakellaropoulos had to leave the fray. Nontas Sakellaropoulos was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that Lonnie Yates got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Cuauhtémoc Bustamante became the new Havixbeck captain. After 75 minutes, Havixbeck switched Madeo Ascue with Quinto Del Conte, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. One of many good crosses from Mikołaj Dziuba on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Andy Hentsch, who scored for Budenzauber. 0 - 3 Jan Luginbil of Havixbeck seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 3 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Lonnie Yates. After 86 minutes of game time, Johannes Zechenpreller had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Damián Oliveros was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. 87 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as Johannes Zechenpreller finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 88 minutes in, Budenzauber's Lê Đình Chiểu received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 1 - 4. Budenzauber enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

Havixbeck's best player was Damián Oliveros. However, Quinto Del Conte made a disastrous appearance. Johannes Zechenpreller performed admirably for Budenzauber. Zdzisław Gretka on the other hand, had a terrible day.
