KS-ROW 2 - 0 BZB

48440 punters turned up at Gliwicka 72, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Antoine Holzinger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fredrik Göransson and Rüdiger Kretschmayer. The following players had been chosen: Brancaccio - Cieleń, Torchała, Trepanowski - Perkin, Al-Aini, Golbach, Maghembe, Kuchta - Bréhier, Kula.

Starters: Domeracki - Corodeanu, Saleppichi, Geiger, Humphries - Barankiewicz, Bacza, Bernegger, Misterek, Jagusz - Gaston.

KS-ROW Rybnik started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas Biało- Zieloni lined up in a 4-5-1 formation. A questionable penalty 13 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 1 - 0. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as Mo'taz Al-Aini knocked the ball home. A great save by keeper Krzysztof Domeracki after 28 minutes kept the visitors in the game after William Maghembe struck from the left with a real cannonball. A crazy pass by Konstanty Cieleń towards his own keeper almost caused a goal for BZB, but Edmund Jagusz didn't get the finish right. BZB were close to putting the equaliser away after 35 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to Lesław Misterek in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. 38 minutes into the game, BZB's Andreas Bernegger rolled over in great pain after taking a forceful blow to his upper chest. The medics bandaged his collarbone before carrying him off on a stretcher. This gave Mirosław Cichorz a chance to take to the field instead. As Andreas Bernegger left the field, the coach signaled to Robert Gaston to be the new set pieces taker. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Pierre Geiger took over the role of being the BZB captain. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by KS-ROW, with 54 percent of the ball.

KS-ROW increased the lead as Krzysztof Kula struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. After 54 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Krzysztof Kula might have resulted in another goal for KS-ROW. However, Krzysztof Domeracki made a spectacular save. With 55 minutes played, the BZB coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. David Camison came on, Bogdan Barankiewicz had to leave the fray. KS-ROW's Valentin Bréhier swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. After 74 minutes, BZB switched Robert Gaston with Mieczysław 'Megi' Gwizdała, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. With Robert Gaston no longer on the pitch, Mieczysław 'Megi' Gwizdała became the new set pieces taker. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 2 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to KS-ROW, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

The most dominating KS-ROW player was without a doubt Valentin Bréhier. Jędrzej Kuchta on the other hand, had a terrible day. Pierre Geiger performed admirably for BZB. However, David Camison made a disastrous appearance.
