Misr 3 - 1 Indonesia

17229 spectators arrived at ABUBAKR, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Jens Gullhult was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Salvatore Troìa and Arto Tolsa. The following players had been chosen: Abd El Aleem - Ahmed, Anees, Adnan - Yosri, Zidan, El Beheiry, Zein El Din, Faraklatos - Qinawy, Abd El Mouezz.

Lineup: Suryanto - Pandia, Saptaji, Abdullah, Tri, Fredly - Fadhlan, Suswanto - Vis, Yuska, Sahdan.

U-20 Misr entered the field in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, U-20 Indonesia, chose to start the game with a 5-2-3 lineup. 1 minutes into the game, U-20 Indonesia wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Joni Yuska gave Diman Novianto a quick hug as he left the field. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, Adham El Beheiry scored for U-20 Misr putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 15 minutes. At the 23 minute mark, U-20 Misr's Emad Abd El Mouezz squeezed his left hand in a collision with another player, but was able to carry on. Peter Fadhlan's speed was almost enough to give U-20 Indonesia a goal after 29 minutes, but his nice pass to Kusnul Sahdan was not taken care of properly. Peter Fadhlan made a nice dash down the wing after 33 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of U-20 Misr to 2 - 0 as Yassin Qinawy finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. U-20 Misr claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

The U-20 Misr players could smell victory in the air. Abd El Hakam Yosri wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Loai El Gawady after 46 minutes. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, U-20 Indonesia's Ferdiansyah Suryanto was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. Aris Prasetiya Andalas was given a chance to change things around. After 46 minutes, U-20 Indonesia switched Suban Abdullah with Lufti Wijei, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Content with how the game was proceeding, the U-20 Misr coach let Hossam Farid replace Ramy Abd El Aleem after 50 minutes. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in U-20 Misr's Emad Abd El Mouezz increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Given a free kick close to the byline, U-20 Indonesia tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let Lufti Wijei slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 3 - 1, 62 minutes into the game. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 3 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by U-20 Misr, with 58 percent of the ball.

Most important U-20 Misr player was Yassin Qinawy. However, Hossam Farid made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating U-20 Indonesia player was without a doubt Fendi Suswanto. Izaak Vis was a disappointment, however.
