BZB 2 - 2 StaryTarg

Clouds darkened the skies at BZB Arena as 29017 spectators turned up for the match. Kees Vandenheede was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ludwik Piechowski and Andrea Candia. Lineup: Domeracki - Doubrava, Kvasz, Humphries - Biegański, Bacza, Cichorz, Misterek, Jagusz - Touijar, Kolas.

The following players took the field: Teleanu - Rączy, Cotia, Gary - Paolini, Chorążak, Karpeta, Alberich - Jeppsson, Gurinovich, Geusen.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Biało- Zieloni went for 3-5-2 while F.C StaryTarg has decided to play a 3-4-3 lineup. BZB were mostly trying to use their titanic skill at attacking on the flanks. BZB were very close to putting themselves one up after 10 minutes as Roy Humphries got through on the left. However, his concentration failed him, and he shot wide. BZB's Roy Humphries was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 18 minutes. After 20 minutes, StaryTarg put themselves up 0 - 1, as Gerasim Gurinovich finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. StaryTarg came close to extending their lead as Alfred Chorążak delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 23 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. With the scoreboard showing that 28 minutes had been played, StaryTarg nearly put themselves up another goal after Michał Rączy came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. It was obvious that BZB had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. With 30 minutes played, BZB's Bahnini Touijar found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. BZB had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Estève Alberich left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Eliel Picanço was the replacement. Damiano Paolini wanted to play on, but the StaryTarg coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 50 minutes into the game by Nicolae Ştefănescu. With 50 minutes having been played, BZB scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but Julian Bacza was marked down as the scorer. With 55 minutes played Wojciech Kolas almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Gerasim Gurinovich went down after twisting his right ankle in minute 63, but was able to continue the match none the less. BZB took the lead 64 minutes in, as Bahnini Touijar broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. The BZB players could smell victory in the air. Mirosław Cichorz wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Witold Stypułkowski after 65 minutes. The crowd was silenced 70 minutes into the match as the visiting team's Michał Rączy came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. Bahnini Touijar would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Mieczysław 'Megi' Gwizdała entered the game for BZB as the match clock showed 70 minutes. BZB were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Fredrik Jeppsson slowly got up on his feet, clutching his right thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. The match ends 2 - 2. BZB enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Wojciech Kolas performed admirably for BZB. Andrzej Biegański turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important StaryTarg player was Roberto Gary. Eliel Picanço on the other hand, had a terrible day.
