12000 spectators arrived at iron dream maracanà, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Fernando Garbiso was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Yanis Van De Looverbosch and Håkan Dyrbo. The derby had been the talk of California all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium. The following players had been chosen: Bingaman - Samson, Purvis, Kauper, Cabrera - Bell, Goodman, Goldsmith, Stenzel - Bronson, Tolleson.

Starters: Restrepo - Dobbs, Cooke, Baranowski, Bentley - Jop, Hutson, Schilling, James - Germán, Tate.

4-4-2 was the choice of the day for both coaches. After 9 minutes, dream were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. Rudy Kauper did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Milan Tolleson, but the dream player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Laurence Bronson could have put dream up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 12 minutes. With 18 minutes played, Laurence Bronson of dream fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. dream solidified their lead at the 19 minute mark, as Rudy Kauper dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. 23 minutes in, dream's Milan Tolleson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Cheers filled the stadium as Laurence Bronson broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to dream. Halftime score was 3 - 0. dream enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

Isaac Cabrera unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Dezmon Hutson from r8drs4life a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 66 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Things were deteriorating for the away team as dream scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Donny Goodman after 70 minutes. dream put in a good effort on the right, but Donny Goodman saw his volley fly wide of the mark 76 minutes into the game. The match ends 4 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to dream, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

Most important dream player was Kristopher Stenzel. On the other hand, Lionel Bingaman's play was disheartening. r8drs4life's best player was Eldon Dobbs. Jessie Bentley on the other hand, had a terrible day.
