16333 spectators arrived at Plácek u Jizerky, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Torkild Schnell was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ignacio Antonaya and Ottfried Holländer. They fielded: Sánchez Recio - Kokeš, Škrabal, Fadrný - Škarka, Rynda, Gligoraş, Beridze, Somavilla - Dujka, Goll.

Lineup: Leprince - Gick, Pontiroli Gobbi, Golfín - Jelínek, Kostelník, Hulsbosch, Leyh - Šustáček, Balogh, Mňuk.

FC Hrabačov started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas FC Prague Slivers lined up in a 3-4-3 formation. Hrabačov seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their outstanding level with that tactic. Slivers clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their formidable level with that tactic. 15 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Hrabačov was Bohumír Goll. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 23 minutes into the match after a good combination through the middle, but when Rastislav 'Messi' Jelínek tried to finish the attack, he couldn't get enough power on the shot to seriously challenge the keeper. 38 minutes in, the unpredictable Bedřich Škarka of Hrabačov turned and curled the ball towards goal, but it flew inches wide of the post, almost taking out a member of the crowd! Hrabačov's Leandro Somavilla swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. With 43 minutes played, Hrabačov put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Igor Dujka, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Horymír Fadrný from Hrabačov a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 43 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Jean Leprince limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, managing only 44 minutes for his team this day. Osvaldo César Pizzarrotried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Hrabačov, with 52 percent of the ball.

Slivers needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes Pravoslav Mňuk made way for Vladimír Kafka. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Slivers's Antonín Šustáček was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. Ladislav Lukeš was given a chance to change things around. With 47 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Slivers showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 2 - 1 when Tomas 'Ballinho' Balogh got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. Vladimír Kafka made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Leandro Somavilla got himself booked. The manager of Hrabačov was not happy. Vladimír Kafka tried using a burst of speed to get past his defender after 52 minutes, but it takes more than that to get past fast Václav Kokeš. Under heavy pressure after 77 minutes, the inexperienced Hrabačov struggled to maintain their level of play. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Igor Dujka squirmed through their central defence after 78 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. Václav Kokeš of Hrabačov received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 87 minutes Ladislav Lukeš seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Slivers making it 3 - 2. 87 minutes into the game Slivers's Vladimír Kafka found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 3 - 3. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. Still tied after 92 minutes, the match continued into extra time. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

The Hrabačov players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when Jiří Kostelník slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against Miguel Sánchez Recio, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. After 111 minutes, Slivers's Juergen Leyh made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 3 - 4. The match ends 3 - 4. Bohumír Goll performed admirably for Hrabačov. Leandro Somavilla on the other hand, had a terrible day. Slivers's top performer was clearly Vladimír Kafka. Virginio Pontiroli Gobbi was a disappointment, however.
