Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 13078 to Újpesti Dózsa. Yannick Conino was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Diderick Töscher and Helmer Runesson. Starters: Illescas Duero - Beinlich, Pergreffi, Monserrat - Siemiatkowski, Ciurcanu, Hasenöder, Esztergályos, Rietveld - Chicoine, Ravnholt.

Lineup: Szépvölgyi - Jasnos, Koronczi, Géczy - Szemenyei, Árva, Cambón, Arató, Hankó - Ráthonyi, Boquet.

The teams both lined up their players in 3-5-2 formations. Dozsa used their world class ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Csillagok were mostly trying to use their world class skill at attacking on the flanks. Anacondo Cambón will not be marking Unknown Player , who is missing from the starting lineup. This may hamper his performance. Csillagok had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Ferenc Ráthonyi had a good try after 13 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Jordi Monserrat caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 27 minutes. This gave Dozsa the 1 - 0 lead. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Lajos Árva from Csillagok a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 28 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Eugène Rietveld went down after twisting his right ankle in minute 28, but was able to continue the match none the less. Cheers filled the stadium as Nisse Siemiatkowski broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Dozsa. With 31 minutes played, Eugène Rietveld of Dozsa fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The visitors got one back when Ferenc Ráthonyi finished off a pass from the left and scored after 38 minutes. 2 - 1 was the score. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Dozsa had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

Aske Ravnholt had a fantastic opportunity to put Dozsa up another goal 50 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. 52 minutes in, Dozsa's Bernhard-Adrian Beinlich received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Victorien Boquet was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his left knee after 52 minutes. The player that took his place was Adrià Murgades. With Victorien Boquet no longer on the pitch, Anacondo Cambón became the new set pieces taker. After 57 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Ian Chicoine might have resulted in another goal for Dozsa. However, Kevin Szépvölgyi made a spectacular save. Nisse Siemiatkowski of Dozsa seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 3 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Dirk Hasenöder. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Dozsa's Ian Chicoine increasing the lead to 4 - 1. The away team improved the scoreline to 4 - 2, as Anacondo Cambón struck home, set up well by a play on the left 74 minutes into the match. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 4 - 2. Dozsa enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The most dominating Dozsa player was without a doubt Jordi Monserrat. However, Eugène Rietveld made a disastrous appearance. Csillagok's best player was Ferenc Ráthonyi. Máté Géczy on the other hand, had a terrible day.
