Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and QUIBRIM ASSINDJRE PARCK saw a crowd turnout of 19072. Markus Zumkehr was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Olimpio Vitor and Ruben de Castellet. The following players took the field: Diarassouba - Sagbo, Vanomo, Sanogo, Desjardins - Maiga, Guichard, Zen - Gbelo, Zokora, Saré.

They fielded: Ardianto - Sahlan, Fikri, Marbun, Amin - Ferial, Supit, Kalijaga, Suhud - Tamani, Guchi.

U-20 Côte d'Ivoire started the game in a 4-3-3 formation, whereas U-20 Indonesia lined up in a 4-4-2 formation. 5 minutes into the game, U-20 Indonesia seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. After 24 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as U-20 Côte d'Ivoire found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. After 30 minutes, the U-20 Indonesia coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Ngarno Kalijaga off the field. Charlie Fadli took his place. 38 minutes into the game, U-20 Indonesia had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. After 39 minutes, U-20 Indonesia's Sudarto Suhud surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 0 - 1. U-20 Indonesia made it 0 - 2 as Charlie Fadli got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to Naldi Ferial who whipped a low drive in off the far post. U-20 Côte d'Ivoire's Arthur Guichard had the ball at his feet in front of goal after a quickly taken free kick after 43 minutes, but was robbed of it in the blink of an eye by an onrushing defender. Halftime score was 0 - 2. U-20 Indonesia claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

A review of the gameplan helped U-20 Côte d'Ivoire get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. The U-20 Indonesia players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. The coach of U-20 Indonesia was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Bambang Frank came on for Charlie Fadli. The U-20 Indonesia players could smell victory in the air. Tito Sahlan wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Steven Sawor after 60 minutes. With the scoreboard showing that 62 minutes had been played, U-20 Indonesia nearly put themselves up another goal after Rinto Supit came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as Ismael Zokora tried lifting the ball over keeper Teguh Ardianto. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. With 67 minutes played, U-20 Indonesia's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to Rinto Supit he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 3. 69 minutes in, U-20 Indonesia appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. 83 minutes into the game, U-20 Côte d'Ivoire seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. The match ends 0 - 3. U-20 Indonesia had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating U-20 Côte d'Ivoire player was without a doubt N'zueba Gbelo. However, Arthur Guichard made a disastrous appearance. U-20 Indonesia's best player was Bambang Frank. Naldi Ferial turned in a dismal performance, however.
