Gusto 4 - 1 Bolche

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 1601 to Hipólito Bouchard ("La Mazorca"). Harald Haugan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Niclas Lindér and Rubén Moreira. For some players the sunny weather was bad news. It made Powerful and Quick players a bit sluggish. For Technical players, it was instead an advantage, allowing them to shine on the pitch. Although the formal home team was Gusto, the spectators were of course much preferring Bolche. The following players had been chosen: Przyklenk - Fernández, Brogna, Gimenez - Gaona, Cap, Merzenich, Bologna, Marques Barbosa - Zanders, Maior.

Lineup: Horghidan - Guerrero, Yereyian, Forzano - Broide, Bloise, Kuczer, Fidalgo - Zarza, Gaí.

Buen Gusto S. de F. fielded a 3-5-2 lineup. For Bolche F.C., the formation of choice was 3-4-2. The wings were the focus of most of Gusto's attacks on this day, taking advantage of their extra-terrestrial level with that tactic. Slack defending gave Gusto a chance to take the lead with 9 minutes played, but Davide Bologna's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. 15 minutes into the game, Bolche had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Francesco Brogna was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Gusto's defence 17 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 1 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as Paulino Maior broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Gusto. 27 minutes in, Bolche appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Gusto's Albano Marques Barbosa increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Leonardo Ángel Cap should probably have put his team up another goal after 40 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Cătălin Horghidan kept the visitors in the game. Gusto solidified their lead at the 41 minute mark, as Paulino Maior dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. Gusto's Albano Marques Barbosa had an excellent opportunity after 43 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 44 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Bolche found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gusto, with 57 percent of the ball.

The Bolche players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. With 69 minutes played, Gusto's Albano Marques Barbosa almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Amador Forzano showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for Bolche after 70 minutes to make the score 4 - 1. 72 minutes into the game, Bolche seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. The home side's Albano Marques Barbosa came close to extending the lead 74 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Cătălin Horghidan managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. 77 minutes into the game, Bolche seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. The match ends 4 - 1. Gusto claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

Davide Bologna performed admirably for Gusto. On the other hand, Maxime Gimenez's play was disheartening. Bolche's top performer was clearly Adolfino Gaí. Sebastián Zarza turned in a dismal performance, however.
