Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 2156 to Gran Estadio Social. Matthieu Laporte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Wiesław Koisar and Sigurd Ødegård. The match took place on neutral ground. Lineup: Cuccovia - Guzzi, Mcknight - Masera, Šobot, Clement, Madden, Morreale - Bordino, Nys, Scherz.

Starters: Jantaraniyom - Cseresznyik, Siama - Gassó, Linhöfts, Saric, Parco, Gabrich - Afonso, Rudavský, Mortensen.

2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Tommaso Cuccovia looked great 12 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Frank 'El Abuelo' Linhöfts. Atlético's Cyprián Rudavský managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 26 minutes. 0 - 1. Atlético's Frank 'El Abuelo' Linhöfts was shown a yellow card after 28 minutes for slicing down an opponent. With 29 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Jørundur 'Muerto' Mortensen of Atlético to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. 31 minutes into the match LLANERO's Salvador Clement viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card. As Salvador Clement left the field, the coach signaled to Jahvid Madden to be the new set pieces taker. David 'Tanque' Afonso was, after 32 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Tommaso Cuccovia made the save. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Cyprián Rudavský from Atlético a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 33 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Halftime score was 0 - 2. LLANERO had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Luciano 'Nervoso' Parco could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. Jahvid Madden challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 60 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. Néstor Ariel Gabrich left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Rodolfo Picón was the replacement. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Atlético coach let Cameron 'Cowboy' Weston replace Octavi 'Rulo' Gassó after 70 minutes. 74 minutes in, LLANERO's Chris Mcknight received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The Atlético players could smell victory in the air. David 'Tanque' Afonso wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for José Manuel 'Mago' Luzardo after 75 minutes. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The referee showed Atlético's Jørundur 'Muerto' Mortensen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 89 minutes, Luciano Guzzi strained his groin quite severely and had to be helped off the field by the physio. This gave Gaspar Jerónimo a chance to take to the field instead. The match ends 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Atlético, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

LLANERO's top performer was clearly Gebhard Scherz. Gaspar Jerónimo was a disappointment, however. José Manuel 'Mago' Luzardo performed admirably for Atlético. Zoltán 'Satanás' Cseresznyik on the other hand, had a terrible day.
