Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and "Eye of Apopi" Arena saw a crowd turnout of 4272. Silvester Donker was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daniel Graevenitz and Elísio Sotero. The match took place on neutral ground. Starters: Korsgaard - Yamani, Fernández - Formicola, Crângaşu, Krasnosielc, Isoveanu, Meszyński - Ayrıç, Brown, Adibi.

Lineup: Tognetti - Fleita, Bellone, Loschiavo - Mugni, de Ocón, Fort, D'Antuono, Ferlini - Granero, Aboy.

El Fortín fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For aeromaiden, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. As the clock reached 30 minutes, Fortín decided to regroup. Florencjusz Krasnosielc gave Marwane Yamani a little pat on the back as they changed positions on the pitch. An opportunity to take the lead after 30 minutes was wasted as aeromaiden's Augusto Fort missed a penalty, firing wide of the mark. Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Niels Korsgaard limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, managing only 35 minutes for his team this day. The player that took his place was Dominik Majsai. After 36 minutes, aeromaiden's Alfredo 'Rayo' Granero made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Renato de Ocón was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, aeromaiden's Marcelo Fabián Mugni managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 2 Halftime score was 0 - 2. Fortín claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

With 50 minutes played, the Fortín coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Brisko Niederste-Werbeck came on, Florencjusz Krasnosielc had to leave the fray. As Florencjusz Krasnosielc exited the field, Francesco Fernández volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. Given a free kick close to the byline, aeromaiden tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let Giancarlo D'Antuono slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 3, 59 minutes into the game. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Fortín's Cosmin Crângaşu was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 60 minutes. Claudio Mamprin was given a chance to change things around. Still trailing on the score board, Fortín adjusted their tactics after 61 minutes. Francesco Fernández had a quick chat at the side line, then switched positions with Daniele Formicola. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when Quentin Brown scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 3. Fortín refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, Quentin Brown managed to slip the ball home for 2 - 3. The home crowd was not impressed when Alfredo 'Rayo' Granero came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 71 minutes. aeromaiden were now up 2 - 4. aeromaiden's Giancarlo D'Antuono was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 72 minutes. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Augusto Fort after 73 minutes, and prevented aeromaiden from going up another goal. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 2 - 4. Fortín enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Fortín's best player was Quentin Brown. Dominik Majsai on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating aeromaiden player was without a doubt Alfredo 'Rayo' Granero. However, Simone Ferlini made a disastrous appearance.
