Dorogi 1 - 3 BZB

The crowd of 2834 turning up at Dorogi KSE Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Jesper Doeven was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Itzhak Pinkas and Franz Aabling. The wet pitch made it difficult for technical or quick players to stand out. For once, the players relying on physical strength gained the upper hand. They fielded: Huszárik - Bede, Erdész - Prágr, Fasciolo, Bardakçıoğlu, Vieira Magalhães, Laiq - Galácz, Sidó, Kovács.

The following players took the field: Quijano - Szymkowiak, Humphries, Tesarczyk, Draga - Stafiej, Jagusz, Kułagowski, Borgarlíð - Touijar, Gwizdała.

Dorogi KSE entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, Biało- Zieloni, chose to start the game with a 4-4-2 lineup. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Dorogi, taking advantage of their weak level with that tactic. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for BZB on this day, taking advantage of their excellent level with that tactic. András Kovács of Dorogi was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Making his way up the middle 14 minutes into the match, Hippolit Galácz almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Juan Antonio Quijano blocked it to keep the score level. Hippolit Galácz caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 20 minutes. This gave Dorogi the 1 - 0 lead. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 26 minutes into the match after a good combination through the middle, but when Daniel Draga tried to finish the attack, he couldn't get enough power on the shot to seriously challenge the keeper. BZB levelled the score after 29 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as Jakub Tesarczyk struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Dorogi, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

46 minutes into the game, BZB wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Daniel Draga gave António Acabado a quick hug as he left the field. Dorogi had a chance to take the lead after Güçlü Bardakçıoğlu's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 61 minutes. Roy Humphries would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Jakub Warwas entered the game for BZB as the match clock showed 65 minutes. 1 - 2 was the score with 67 minutes played, after António Acabado cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for BZB. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Bahnini Touijar after 73 minutes, and prevented BZB from going up another goal. A penalty was awarded after 74 minutes, and Mieczysław 'Megi' Gwizdała made the most of his chance to put BZB up by another goal. 1 - 3 for the visitors. Marek Stafiej left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 75 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Leon Mazanek was the replacement. The match ends 1 - 3. BZB claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

Güçlü Bardakçıoğlu performed admirably for Dorogi. On the other hand, Márk Huszárik's play was disheartening. Most important BZB player was António Acabado. However, Jakub Warwas made a disastrous appearance.
