The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 34631 had shown up at Drayton Park for the match. Peter Ridell was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Toon van den Oever and Igor Wiechecki. The following players took the field: Egerszegi - Ziemba, Roca, Frizell, Sabara - Pawlaczyk, Sugár, Izsó, Vezér, Vaccaro - Dupai.

Starters: Hoorbüdel - Podaný, Mezey, Suciu, Szöllősi - Gerold, Csöndes, Budai, Bodrožić, Neumann - Gao.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 4-5-1 formation. The wings were the focus of most of FC Gooner's attacks on this day, taking advantage of their divine (+5) level with that tactic. Slack defending gave FC Gooner a chance to take the lead with 6 minutes played, but Markus Ziemba's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Eugen Suciu had a good opportunity to give Tottinho the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when Viliami Gao slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against Péter Egerszegi, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. Making his way up the middle 30 minutes into the match, Márk Sugár almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Cai Hoorbüdel blocked it to keep the score level. It was 0 - 0 at the break. Tottinho enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave József Dupai from FC Gooner a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 52 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Miroslav Podaný would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Girolamo Santeramo entered the game for Tottinho as the match clock showed 56 minutes. Girolamo Santeramo was handed the Tottinho captain's armband. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by József Dupai rendered him his second booking of the match, and FC Gooner had to finish the game with a reduced squad. As József Dupai left the field, the coach signaled to Márk Sugár to be the new set pieces taker. The guests almost went up by a goal after 62 minutes when Mátyás Mezey came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Tottinho mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 64 minutes, but Viliami Gao was unable to convert from short range. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 69 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. FC Gooner fans erupted in celebration as Márk Sugár rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0! A well placed corner kick from Kevin Neumann was followed by Dániel Budai's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Tottinho, the score now 1 - 1. Tottinho's Dániel Budai could have put the guests one up after 81 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but Péter Egerszegi was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Márk Sugár was in no condition to play on. He left the field limping after 82 minutes, with his left thigh bandaged. This gave Javier Umpanera a chance to take to the field instead. As Márk Sugár exited the field, Constantin Frizell volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. The match ends 1 - 1. Tottinho had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

FC Gooner's best player was Claudio Vaccaro. Markus Ziemba turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Tottinho player was without a doubt Viliami Gao. Girolamo Santeramo was a disappointment, however.
