CFC 0 - 11 Dale

Clouds darkened the skies at Croon Park Stadium as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. Adán Casillas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Aki Pyötsiä and Wolfram Haldern. Starters: Finnell - Fulham, Maidment, Ord, Mischler - Randall, Clune, Milligan, Lee - Bradley, Mark.

The following players had been chosen: Flores - de Bruine, Agrawal, Sumerel - Geisler, Rosen, Sulka, Faulkner, Szűcs - Berger, Shevkov.

Cronies FC entered the field in a 4-4-2 formation. The visitors, Rochdale United, chose to start the game with a 3-5-2 lineup. Dale saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their mythical level with that tactic. After 5 minutes, Dale put themselves up 0 - 1, as Rufus Rosen finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. 6 minutes in, CFC's Jeremy Bradley received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 7 minutes into the game, CFC seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. 17 minutes into the game, CFC seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. After 18 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Shane 'Ham' Berger a chance to increase the lead for Dale, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. After 23 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Humphrey Faulkner to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. Borislav Shevkov of Dale took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 26 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. After 31 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Shane 'Ham' Berger who increased Dale's lead to 0 - 5. The referee showed Dale's Poul Geisler the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Following a collision in the 33, CFC's Butch Randall complained of a damaged shoulder. Eventually, he forced himself to continue the match anyway. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dale, with 79 percent of the ball.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of CFC was able to get his message across, and raised CFC's organisation to solid. Dale's Poul Geisler finished emphatically to make the score 0 -6 after 48 minutes, after the enigmatic Kevin Flores pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence. Nitin Agrawal received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 55 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 7. The Dale fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 58 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as CFC found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. The visitors' Zoltán Szűcs took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 59 minutes into the match. 0 - 8 for Dale. 68 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 9 as Rufus Rosen finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After 69 minutes, Dale's Borislav Shevkov burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 10. After 80 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Roman 'Big' Sulka who increased Dale's lead to 0 - 11. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 0 - 11. Possession in this half belonged to Dale, who controlled the ball 82 percent of the time.

Most important CFC player was Andy Mark. Chester Finnell turned in a dismal performance, however. Borislav Shevkov performed admirably for Dale. However, Garth 'Vader' Sumerel made a disastrous appearance.
