153859 spectators had found their way to The Armoury, despite the heavy rain. Yannic Graf von Blücher-Altona was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Viktor Wenmaekers and Krzysztof Małysa. It is not something you see very often, but on this day some sections of the stadium had been boosted with extra seats so that all fans could be accommodated. The pitch was a disaster, due to all the rain. This spelled problems for the more sophisticated players, who usually could rely on speed or technique. For those relying on grit and strength, it actually meant an edge. Lineup: Nagy - Bogdán, Hatala, Pásztor - Dimiczki, Dudás, Friderikusz, Szőke, Pogáts - Czupek, Balog.

They fielded: Yuli - Celbi, Sahlan, Marbun, Sinaga, Amin - Suhud, Ageng, Hanafi - Sugianto, Iswanda.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team U-20 Magyarország went for 3-5-2 while U-20 Indonesia has decided to play a 5-3-2 lineup. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of U-20 Indonesia, taking advantage of their titanic level with that tactic. Wahidi Celbi of U-20 Indonesia received a yellow card after 37 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. U-20 Magyarország's Zoltán Pogáts left the field after 39 minutes having twisted his hand in a collision, causing a slight injury. This gave Roland Gáspár a chance to take to the field instead. The U-20 Magyarország coach adjusted their lineup with 39 minutes gone. Roland Gáspár and Botond Szőke assumed each other's positions. With 42 minutes gone, Tito Sahlan suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by U-20 Indonesia caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. Ádám Dudás of U-20 Magyarország was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After a fine move down the middle Ottó Czupek nearly gave the home side a goal after 43 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. U-20 Magyarország claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

Dediu Iswanda would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Stevy Ivakdalam entered the game for U-20 Indonesia as the match clock showed 50 minutes. As the 50 minute mark approached, the U-20 Indonesia coach decided it was time for a substitution. Victor Sinaga reluctantly made way for Tan Syahrial on the pitch. 50 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a U-20 Indonesia substitution. Yusmai Sahuleka came on for Sudir Ageng. Marcell Balog's speed was almost enough to give U-20 Magyarország a goal after 50 minutes, but his nice pass to Botond Szőke was not taken care of properly. U-20 Magyarország had a good opportunity to take the lead as Marcell Balog came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Suryo Yuli. With 64 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of U-20 Indonesia resulted in a counterattack that set Prasetyo Amin free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. After 69 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as U-20 Indonesia found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. After 71 minutes of play, Ottó Czupek gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Suryo Yuli was caught napping as Márk Hatala lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. After 85 minutes, Stevy Ivakdalam was massaging his left knee with a worried look on his face, but managed to get up in the end. After 86 minutes, Ottó Czupek put U-20 Magyarország ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. An accurate cross from Botond Szőke of U-20 Magyarország was met with a wonderful glancing header from Ádám Dudás, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 3 - 0. After 88 minutes, the U-20 Magyarország players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game. In an effort to secure the lead, U-20 Magyarország changed their tactic after 88 minutes. The U-20 Magyarország coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 88 minutes into the game. In the lead, U-20 Magyarország adjusted their style of play with 88 minutes gone. U-20 Indonesia caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 89 minutes into the match. Uya Marbun was able to finish off the move - 3 - 1. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. The match ends 3 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to U-20 Magyarország, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

U-20 Magyarország's best player was Zsolt Friderikusz. Botond Szőke turned in a dismal performance, however. Stevy Ivakdalam performed admirably for U-20 Indonesia. Wahidi Celbi on the other hand, had a terrible day.
