A scorching day at The Fortress, where 139985 spectators were in place for today's match. Juha-Pekka Suosaari was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Giancarlo Spadotto and Gary 'The Bomb' Deevey. It was a very hot day and some players suffered from this, especially those relying on tough physical play or a lot of fast runs. For the technical ones, on the other hand, this was ideal conditions. Starters: Tomagola - Supriyanto, Milala, Sopandi - Marco, Sudiro, Purjianto, Rasyid - Wiranto, Ekayana, Hanafi.

They fielded: Klárik - Turján, Dunavölgyi, Körmös - Teke, Török, Csalavári, Hetényi, Weigert - Harnócz, Pintér.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 3-4-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. U-20 Magyarország's Lukács Teke made use of his speed to get free of the defence, but he still couldn't get a shot off 6 minutes into the match. 16 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but Benjámin Weigert, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. 36 minutes into the game, U-20 Indonesia had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. 39 minutes into the game, András Harnócz had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. U-20 Magyarország's Lukács Teke got himself booked for a foul. Azwar Sopandi was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his right knee after 41 minutes. This gave Gajah Wirentangun a chance to take to the field instead. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that U-20 Indonesia had solid organisation. As the 46 minute mark approached, the U-20 Indonesia coach decided it was time for a substitution. Syiful Supriyanto reluctantly made way for Saleh Siantoro on the pitch. With Syiful Supriyanto no longer on the pitch, Kasino Marco took over free kick duty. Prasetyo Wiranto would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Puji Rifka entered the game for U-20 Indonesia as the match clock showed 46 minutes. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Ujang Ekayana, but the U-20 Indonesia player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 78 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by Kasino Marco from Saleh Siantoro's cross looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach. Goal for U-20 Indonesia, making the score 2 - 0. U-20 Magyarország's Tibor Körmös was shown a yellow card after 82 minutes for slicing down an opponent. U-20 Indonesia increased the lead as Soleh Purjianto struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in U-20 Indonesia's Puji Rifka increasing the lead to 4 - 0. U-20 Magyarország certainly deserved a goal after some stunning play down the left, but Lukács Teke just wasn't able to finish. With the clock showing 88 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of U-20 Magyarország resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Martin Hetényi in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The bench was restless, and with 89 minutes passed U-20 Magyarország's coach gave Róbert Kacsala the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Norbert Dunavölgyi reluctantly left the field. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, U-20 Magyarország's Martin Hetényi was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes. Lajos Fister was given a chance to change things around. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 4 - 0. U-20 Indonesia claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Saleh Siantoro performed admirably for U-20 Indonesia. Sasi Milala was a disappointment, however. The most dominating U-20 Magyarország player was without a doubt Lajos Fister. Lukács Teke on the other hand, had a terrible day.
