marteau 0 - 3 Pewsum

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Hämster-Dome saw a crowd turnout of 2491. Ivan Dolenšak was the appointed referee with assistance provided by William Boury and Maciej Smokowski. The following players took the field: Rass - Schneck, Sousa, Lenglet - Goodlad, Lavalley, Evich, Morina - Bossio, Jatkowski, Lewis.

They fielded: Amieiro - Schofield, Henneghan, Richards - Sanders, Stoneking, Hassab El Naby, Truett, Siegel - Sairitupac, Kucherenko.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 3-4-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. Nick Sanders had a good opportunity to give Pewsum the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Forrest Siegel got himself booked. The manager of Pewsum was not happy. Pewsum took the lead after 40 minutes making the score 0 - 1. Bradley Truett placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Forrest Siegel would have put Pewsum up another goal 43 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Pewsum's Naguib Hassab El Naby got himself booked for a foul. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Pewsum enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

Pewsum's Eduardo Sairitupac made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 51 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. 74 minutes in, marteau's Sergey Evich received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Some fine movement on the left led to a Pewsum goal after 76 minutes, making it 0 - 2. Eduardo Sairitupac was noted down as the scorer. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. A drive down the left side allowed Nikolay Kucherenko to get in close and score another goal for Pewsum after 89 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 3. The match ends 0 - 3. Pewsum had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

marteau's best player was Gallus Rass. However, Dougie Lewis made a disastrous appearance. Most important Pewsum player was Eduardo Sairitupac. Gaylord Schofield was a disappointment, however.
