24162 spectators had come to We Win, period this cloudy day. Robert-Jan Timmers was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Florin Câmpeanu and Tim 'Red Baron' Trommer. The following players had been chosen: Abd El Aleem - Turk, Abd El Hakim, Moghazi - Tamim, El Ghazali, Gaweesh, Azzam - Mazen, Amin, Hegab.

Starters: Pálfy - Kádasi, Hódosi, Darnyi, Dimulász - Kis, Pfaff, Pelikán - Bot, Ráskó, Szakadáti.

Misr started the game in a 3-4-3 formation, whereas Magyarország lined up in a 4-3-3 formation. Magyarország clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their mythical level with that tactic. The incalculable Károly Pálfy of Magyarország did everything right as he set up Endre Szakadáti for a goal after 7 minutes. Unfortunately, the strike missed its target. The visiting Béni Pfaff was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 16 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. Rudolf Dimulász received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 31 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Magyarország fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Mohammed 'Toetanchamon' Amin challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 35 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. Endre Szakadáti finished off the counterattack of Magyarország from the left rather easily, making the score 0 - 3. Dávid Kis's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert Ferenc Bot was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Magyarország. 0 - 4. The referee showed Misr's Abd El Metaal Moghazi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Misr, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Ameen Mazen was in no condition to play on. He left the field limping after 58 minutes, with his left thigh bandaged. The replacement for the injured player was Khalif Samir. Péter Pelikán knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 0 - 5 after 71 minutes. Ferenc Bot left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 76 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Kristóf Miskéri was the replacement. The Magyarország players could smell victory in the air. Péter Pelikán wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for András Füvesi after 76 minutes. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, András Füvesi took over the role of being the Magyarország captain. Magyarország's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 77 minutes gone, but Bence Ráskó's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. With 79 minutes played, Bence Ráskó nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 81 minutes into the game, Magyarország's András Füvesi rolled over in pain after taking a forceful blow to his upper chest. After bandaging his collarbone, the medics led him off the field. This gave Attila Podmaniczky a chance to take to the field instead. Kristóf Miskéri was handed the Magyarország captain's armband. Magyarország's Csaba Hódosi was shown a yellow card after 82 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 83 into the match, Misr's Taha Hegab fell flat on his chest. After a breather, he was ready to continue. Misr needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 89 minutes Abd El Metaal Moghazi made way for Mahmoud Abd El Magied. After 89 minutes, Misr switched Ameen Abd El Hakim with Abd El Basitt Abou El Saoud, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. With Ameen Abd El Hakim no longer on the pitch, Mohammed Tamim became the new set pieces taker. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 5. Misr had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

Khalif Samir performed admirably for Misr. Anees Azzam was a disappointment, however. Magyarország's best player was Kristóf Miskéri. On the other hand, Attila Podmaniczky's play was disheartening.
