40278 spectators arrived at Kathak Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Ginés Estorch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Felix Joshua Schopphoven and Richard Roulier. Starters: Peddireddy - Mukherjee, Corvino - Lips, Panashikar, Ghosh, Bonala, Qidwai - Thargye, Reddy, Naidu.

They fielded: Kenga - Paschimakabata, Dave, Bagh, Pillay - Bhogle, Guru, Ambani, Lhundup - Yasir, Kuruvilla.

Ghungharu FC entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, RaviEmaniUTD, chose to start the game with a 4-4-2 lineup. 6 minutes into the match, Ghungharu's Aadu Lips demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to Hari 'Potter' Naidu who chipped it in for 1 - 0. It was showtime for artist Thargye Thargye who showed off his technical mastery when he rounded Ravi Ambani and finished with a goal to make the score 2 - 0. Bernardo Corvino increased Ghungharu's lead to 3 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. After 25 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Thargye Thargye gave the Ghungharu supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Ansar Qidwai from Ghungharu a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 26 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 27 minutes into the game, Ravi Ambani had to leave the field due to a rib injury. Sunay Sharma tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Ghungharu's Mahesh Panashikar increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Ghungharu's Bernardo Corvino struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 6 - 0 after 34 minutes. Bernardo Corvino of Ghungharu received a yellow card after 36 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Ghungharu solidified their lead at the 42 minute mark, as Ansar Qidwai dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 0. Halftime score was 7 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ghungharu, with 82 percent of the ball.

Ansar Qidwai increased the lead for Ghungharu to 8 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Sunil Reddy should probably have put his team up another goal after 63 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Satyaki Kenga kept the visitors in the game. RaviEmaniUTD's Manav Pillay got himself booked for a foul. Ghungharu increased the lead as Hari 'Potter' Naidu struck to make the score 9 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Mahesh Panashikar squirmed through their central defence after 68 minutes, increasing the lead to 10 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Ghungharu scored another to make it 11 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Anjas Mukherjee after 69 minutes. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 5 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 11 - 0. Ghungharu had most of the ball, with 84 percent of possession.

Hari 'Potter' Naidu performed admirably for Ghungharu. However, Hiresh Ghosh made a disastrous appearance. Most important RaviEmaniUTD player was Sudhendra Bagh. Rajesh Bhogle was a disappointment, however.
