The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 54908 had shown up at Stadio Tottinho for the match. Anders Adel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Čeněk Šmerda and Aleksandar Tadić. The following players had been chosen: Hoorbüdel - Neumann, Suciu, Szöllősi - Bodrožić, Sipos, Budai, Gerold, Vadas - Gao, Vasile.

Starters: Lefkovits - Pál, Végvári, Martin, Szalai, Fekete - Mladonyiczki, Tógyer, Princz, Sánta-Balog - Király.

Tottinho entered the field in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Zöld Sárkányok, chose to start the game with a 5-4-1 lineup. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Sárkányok, taking advantage of their divine level with that tactic. With 3 minutes played Viliami Gao almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Sárkányok's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 4 minutes gone, but Ádám Princz's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. A foul after 32 minutes resulted in a free kick. Kevin Neumann cannonballed it, giving the home team the lead 1 - 0. With the clock showing 35 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Sárkányok resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Olivér Király in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Cai Hoorbüdel's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from Ádám Princz's shot from the left 36 minutes into the match. The swift technical skills of Viliami Gao were often too much for the tall but somewhat slow Miklós Szalai who was humiliated after 38 minutes. He'll be breathing a huge sigh of relief after the final shot went wide. Laurenţiu Vasile had a fantastic opportunity to put Tottinho up another goal 42 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Tottinho claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

Tottinho's Kevin Neumann struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 2 - 0 after 49 minutes. Laurenţiu Vasile could have increased the lead after 61 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Olivér Király nearly reduced the lead 70 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by Cai Hoorbüdel prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. Tottinho's Dániel Budai got himself booked for a foul. Eugen Suciu wanted to play on, but the Tottinho coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 81 minutes into the game by Mátyás Mezey. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 2 - 0. Tottinho enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

Viliami Gao performed admirably for Tottinho. On the other hand, Mátyás Mezey's play was disheartening. Most important Sárkányok player was Olivér Király. István Végvári turned in a dismal performance, however.
