Terremoto 2 - 1 SSFC

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Bau Bau Arena saw a crowd turnout of 1717. Bernd Seidenabel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bagher Amirkhanlu and Siim Tihemets. Starters: Iršius - Faisal, Trudić, Pinga - Castiglia, Saud, Wolfram, Winnubst, Gorgone - Sovijärvi, Potocki.

They fielded: Huzarewicz - George, Eze, Obaseki - Strauven, da Luz, Lisák, Hulin - Pepe, Molbo, Peresutti.

Terremoto Barbie & Tifone Gaia started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas Supastrikas FC lined up in a 3-4-3 formation. Terremoto were relying on their solid ability to counter-attack. Today, SSFC's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. Alex Eze of SSFC was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 20 minutes into the game, SSFC seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. After 22 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as SSFC found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. After a fine move down the middle Salvatore Castiglia nearly gave the home side a goal after 26 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. 29 minutes into the game, SSFC seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Many thought Eelco Winnubst ought to have been awarded a penalty 30 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Roman Huzarewicz after a determined run through the middle. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 35 minutes into the match left SSFC's Thierry Hulin completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Terremoto claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

The SSFC players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. The crowd roared in delight as Jovan Trudić finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Terremoto 64 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. After 68 minutes, Roman Huzarewicz was massaging his left knee with a worried look on his face, but managed to get up in the end. 69 minutes into the game, SSFC had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. With 70 minutes gone, SSFC had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, Solomon Obaseki did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Terremoto's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 71 minutes gone, but Humair Saud's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 75 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Jovan Trudić, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Terremoto's Joel Sovijärvi saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 78 minutes. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 2 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Terremoto, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Wiesiek Potocki performed admirably for Terremoto. Federico Gorgone was a disappointment, however. SSFC's best player was Chris Strauven. On the other hand, Alex Eze's play was disheartening.
