Clear skies welcomed the 304 spectators who had made their way to sattori. Aad Hajer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Francesco Trevelin and William Robbiati. The match took place on neutral ground. The following players had been chosen: Liik - Davoli, Cervetti, Tirigal Casté - Valtierra, Marín, Udobro, Santacreu, Medina - Perekhodov, Casper.

Lineup: Lalouf - Patiño, Salto, Utrilla - Riedel, Obertello, Altimiras, Garrillo, Porta - Guastavino, Piątkowski.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 3-5-2 formation today. Idaho took a outstanding creative approach on the field. Tomás Guastavino had a good try after 2 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Idaho's Anton Perekhodov tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Idaho created a good opportunity to score 8 minutes into the match when Cris Udobro's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. One of many good crosses from Felipe Medina on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Allan Casper, who scored for Idaho. 1 - 0 Mario Alberto Lalouf was caught napping as Marcelo Iván Cervetti lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. With 29 minutes played, Anton Perekhodov could have brought this one home for Idaho as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Idaho enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

After 64 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by David Valtierra might have resulted in another goal for Idaho. However, Mario Alberto Lalouf made a spectacular save. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 81 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but Jüri Liik got the best of it, blocking the shot from Wiktor Piątkowski. Eduardo Utrilla of Fortineras was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Fortineras levelled the score after 85 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as Wiktor Piątkowski struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. With the scores being level after 91 minutes, the match went into extra time. Idaho claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Idaho's David Valtierra was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Aleix Santacreu managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 2 - 1 after 94 minutes. Marcelo Iván Cervetti of Idaho received a yellow card after 112 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Antonio Porta finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 2 - 2 114 minutes into the match. After extra time, the game was still tied and a penalty shoot-out ensued.

Idaho's Anton Perekhodov showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 3 - 2. Fortineras's Mario Alberto Lalouf kept his cool as he faced down Jüri Liik. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 3 - 3. Boy, does Allan Casper of Idaho know how to treat a football or what?! He's curled that shot past the keeper and into the top corner of the goal - a great penalty! 4 - 3. Fortineras's Mauricio Gustavo Salto looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 4 - 3. The crowd was awed by David Valtierra's finely placed shot for Idaho making it 5 - 3. Fortineras's Tomás Guastavino looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper. Idaho's Juan Tirigal Casté didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of Mario Alberto Lalouf. The score remained 5 - 3. Fortineras's Fermín Patiño made no mistake. Jüri Liik didn't have a chance. 5 - 4. Idaho's Cris Udobro was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 6 - 4! The match ends 6 - 4. Idaho's top performer was clearly David Valtierra. Juan Tirigal Casté was a disappointment, however. Tomás Guastavino performed admirably for Fortineras. However, Oscar Lorenzo Garrillo made a disastrous appearance.
