dm001 3 - 5 Castle

The following players had been chosen: Nevola - Izzi, Şerbănescu, Bottiglieri - Feliciello, Bonandini, Meduri, Paleari, Saccardo - Ghiron, Bellinvia.

The following players took the field: Luničevas - Kobal, Dague - 樋山 (Hiyama), 金城 (Kinjo), 大森 (Omori), 栗崎 (Kurisaki), 古賀 (Koga) - 西岡 (Nishioka), 藤崎 (Fujizaki), 川野 (Kawano).

dm001 entered the field in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Kochi Castle Foxes, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. A foul after 4 minutes resulted in a free kick. Vasco Izzi cannonballed it, giving the home team the lead 1 - 0. A cross coming in on the right hand side left 裕史 (Hiroshi) 藤崎 (Fujizaki) alone in front of the goal after 20 minutes but his shot was woeful. The bicycle kick from Manlio Saccardo would have been the Goal of the Year for dm001, had it not hit the post. 築 (Kizuku) 金城 (Kinjo) finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 29 minutes into the match. The Castle free kick 33 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of 裕史 (Hiroshi) 藤崎 (Fujizaki), who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 2! Halftime score was 1 - 2. Castle had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

築 (Kizuku) 金城 (Kinjo) received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 49 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Castle fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. dm001 reduced the lead to 2 - 3 with 50 minutes on the clock when Norberto Bellinvia got the best of a ball floated in from the left. 俊昭 (Toshiaki) 大森 (Omori) of Castle took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 61 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 2 - 4. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, dm001's Giancarlo Meduri was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 63 minutes. Maurizio Noja was given a chance to change things around. It took several tries, but dm001 managed to break through on the left after 66 minutes, getting the ball to Vasco Izzi who easily reduced the lead to make the score 3 - 4. dm001 tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. A drive down the left side allowed 達也 (Tatsuya) 樋山 (Hiyama) to get in close and score another goal for Castle after 70 minutes, taking the score to 3 - 5. With 72 minutes played, the dm001 coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Tommaso Gasparroni came on, Marian Şerbănescu had to leave the fray. The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed dm001's coach gave Brisko Glindmeyer the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Gianluca Feliciello reluctantly left the field. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 3 - 5. Castle enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Most important dm001 player was David Ghiron. Attilio Bottiglieri on the other hand, had a terrible day. 伸之 (Nobuyuki) 川野 (Kawano) performed admirably for Castle. On the other hand, Cene Kobal's play was disheartening.
