Sdaizu 5 - 1 Marathi

3257 spectators had found their way to Sdaizu Arena, despite the heavy rain. Rafael Selva was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Silas Plankenschrubber and Adrian Graml. They fielded: Cerioli - Porchera, Boară, Valastro, Viskil - Czapor, Hagen, Piattelli, Guiza - Rada, Walenkamp.

Starters: Biberger - Borşa, Cornejo, Navarro, Ebbens, Fioretto - Andreasson, Cherif Ouazzani, Ivan - Jogani, Toffanin.

Sdaizu entered the field in a 4-4-2 formation. The visitors, Marathi Sena, chose to start the game with a 5-3-2 lineup. Sdaizu saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their mythical level with that tactic. Marathi showed off their disastrous creative tactics. Giuseppe Piattelli spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. Sdaizu broke through on the left 12 minutes into the game, with Tommaso Porchera firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Iustin Rada increased the lead for Sdaizu to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Given a free kick close to the byline, Sdaizu tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let Kenneth Walenkamp slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 3 - 0, 24 minutes into the game. The referee showed Marathi's Elian Borşa the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Marathi made sure of not letting Grzegorz Czapor succeed with his speed. When an opportunity appeared for him, as it did 30 minutes into the game, speedy Héctor Walter Fioretto came to the rescue and stopped the attack. Rolf Biberger was caught napping as Hans Jarle Hagen lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Héctor Walter Fioretto from Marathi a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 34 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Sdaizu mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 36 minutes, but Iustin Rada was unable to convert from short range. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Sdaizu, with 62 percent of the ball.

Coming from the right, Efraín Guiza almost managed to score another goal for Sdaizu, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Marathi almost scored after a swift counterattack 55 minutes into the game, but Fabian Toffanin put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. Sdaizu were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Sdaizu increased the lead as Kenneth Walenkamp struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A well placed corner kick from Tanish Jogani was followed by Fabian Toffanin's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Marathi, the score now 4 - 1. 68 minutes in, Sdaizu's Adrian Boară received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 78 minutes, Hans Jarle Hagen put Sdaizu ahead 5 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. With 79 minutes played, Pietro Antonio Valastro of Sdaizu fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 5 - 1. Sdaizu enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

Sdaizu's best player was Iustin Rada. Pietro Antonio Valastro was a disappointment, however. Rolf Biberger performed admirably for Marathi. However, Anouar Cherif Ouazzani made a disastrous appearance.
