Kadur 3 - 3 Titans

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 41682 to Shem Hamischak. Mansour El-Walid was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Otto Franzl and Robert Katsitadze. The following players had been chosen: Dieux - Pierangeli, Duffy, Mechtler - Żochowski, Campana, Uzunov, Molini - Tiponuţ, Mekel, Hadi.

The following players took the field: Carrasquero - Řeha, Zvrko, Zadelaar - Tešić, Forjaz, Scheringa, Pytko, Shevaldin - Viðarsson, Krusiewicz.

Kadur Agol started the game in a 3-4-3 formation, whereas WoW Titans lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. Kadur mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. Pieter Zadelaar was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by Zdenko Zvrko, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. Titans took the lead after 40 minutes making the score 0 - 1. Nolwin Scheringa placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. 41 minutes into the game, Titans worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Kadur tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. With 43 minutes played, Henryk Pytko nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. After 43 minutes of game time, Ingólfur Viðarsson had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Florent Dieux was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Kadur players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Kadur were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 44 minutes, Atanas Uzunov swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Titans claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Kadur's Cezar Tiponuţ excelled in some fine tricks that completely confused Pieter Zadelaar - and the finish was no less spectacular - 2 - 1! The visitors' Henryk Pytko was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 2 - 2 after 59 minutes. With 68 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Marek Krusiewicz put the ball away for 2 - 3. The Titans players could smell victory in the air. Nolwin Scheringa wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Armando Carrese after 70 minutes. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Titans coach let Bahador Arbabi Yadaki replace Marek Krusiewicz after 70 minutes. The bench was restless, and with 71 minutes passed Kadur's coach gave Simone Ginnari the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Girolamo Molini reluctantly left the field. With Girolamo Molini no longer on the pitch, Scott Duffy became the new set pieces taker. Atanas Uzunov was handed the Kadur captain's armband. With the scoreboard showing that 84 minutes had been played, Titans nearly put themselves up another goal after Marko Tešić came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. After 86 minutes, Abdul-Rahim Hadi made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 3 - 3. 88 minutes in, Kadur's Primus Mekel received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After a fine move down the middle Primus Mekel nearly gave the home side a goal after 89 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 3 - 3. Titans enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

The most dominating Kadur player was without a doubt Cezar Tiponuţ. Simone Ginnari was a disappointment, however. Most important Titans player was Ingólfur Viðarsson. On the other hand, Marko Tešić's play was disheartening.
