33861 spectators had come to Vineta Dörpseestadion this cloudy day. Eddy Motte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Abou Thior and Goran Ostojić. The following players had been chosen: Vrăjitoru - Thorslund, Natali, Demeyer - Bruchweg, Döberitz, Bartkowski, Stern, Hammer - Taagepera, Karataban.

The following players took the field: Linnolahti - Blieven, Boitor, Moković - Ellental, Wellke, Kellermeier, Dudschke, Bluna - Hörner, Fincke.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 3-5-2 formation. 17 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Vineta was Aziz Karataban. 18 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Andres Taagepera broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Vineta. Mihai Vrăjitoru made a brilliant save 20 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from Mijo Moković on the right hand side. Paris Demeyer could have increased the lead after 32 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Axel Thorslund increased the lead for Vineta to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Vineta claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.

With 60 minutes played, the Budenzauber coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Aleksandar Nešković came on, Max Paul Bluna had to leave the fray. Addi Stern of Vineta seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 4 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Marco Natali. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 75 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Aslan Linnolahti got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. The referee showed Vineta's Addi Stern the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 79 minutes, Axel Thorslund put Vineta ahead 5 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The Vineta players could smell victory in the air. Marco Natali wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Iasonas Aslanis after 81 minutes. Marco Natali was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that Addi Stern got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Vineta put themselves up 6 - 0 when Addi Stern broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Vineta's Paris Demeyer got himself booked for a foul. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Floribert Hörner from Budenzauber a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! At the 88 minute mark, Vineta's Florian Hammer squeezed his left hand in a collision with another player, but was able to carry on. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 6 - 0. Vineta had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.

Vineta's best player was Balthasar Döberitz. Mihai Vrăjitoru on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Budenzauber player was without a doubt Aleksandar Nešković. However, Alexander Blieven made a disastrous appearance.
